Slow Damage - Prequel Manga (Summary)

Towa, Rei and Taku are seen working at a clinic. The scene changes to lunchtime, when Rei brings the group a meal. Towa mentions he's tired because he was woken up by a vampire movie on TV the night before.
Rei then mentions there have been cases of so called "vampire attacks". People who have been attacked with a shot (t/n: as in needle) by a bearded man, but their blood isn't sucked, nor have they been sexually assaulted. Also, a lot of money is left where the victim lies.
Rei and Taku discuss how absurd the idea of vampires is and how the culprit is probably just someone who likes vampires and is messing around with others, or possibly watches too many vampire movies and ends up thinking they are one.
Towa then goes into an alley to smoke and sees a suspicious bearded man attacking a person. The criminal flees and Towa brings the victim inside to help them. The group discusses how the marks on the victim's neck are too thick to be that from a needle, reminding them more of a gimlet.
The victim wakes up and Taku asks about that happened. He says the man approached him looking for a "night" (t/n: as in a night with a prostitute) and took him to a dirty alley. Then he was stabbed with something similar to a needle and lost consciousness.
Taku asks about the money in his pocket and the victim replies that it's not his, but maybe it is. When Taku asks for clarification he says a lot of others victims have been calling this kind of money the "payment". He also says he doesn't mind, since he got money just for being pierced (t/n: with the "needle").
The scene changes to a bar, in which Towa drinks with a few people and they discuss the recent victims. Towa mentions he has seen a victim.
Meanwhile, a man chugs down a bottle of alcohol. The bartender mentions he has been there a lot but only drinks red wine. Towa notices he looks familiar to the bearded criminal. Realizing this, the man flees.
Towa chases him and they have a brief fight in the alley, which ends with the man on the floor and Towa asking him if he wants to drink blood that much.
The man confesses that he indeed desperately wants to drink blood and had been trying to mask his desire with wine, but it's no use.
Towa then offers his own blood if the man allows him to paint his incontrolable desire.
The man bites Towa and a faint smile is seen in the protagonist's face afterwards. He goes to his studio and, still smiling, sits down to paint.
