honestly.. if I can barely understand the meanin’ of whatever you’re sayin’ in your poems, I don’t see how you expect me to understand that guy…  and what does that even mean? no human heart nor flower live for a thousand years.

it means that nothing dies and everything fades

in the end, what remains is our recollection of what used to be...until that dims as well. 

mikazuki-san is a living memory of the past. he speaks of things we’ve never seen nor experienced. if you could understand him, you could glimpse snatches of his story as well

you see, nosada~ with poems you need to be short and direct. your poem was not bad, but I could barely understand what you were sayin’!

that’s because it’s before your time. the heian era favored waka poetry over traditional haiku. don’t you find the extra lines more expressive as a result?

if you need some help with comprehension, i suggest asking mikazuki-san for tips.

if that’s the case, then~   *clears throat*            “apricot flower / though you have one bloom / you are an apricot still.”  see? pretty cool, huh?

...it’s rather plain. ahem.

   Blooming flowers are, even in their variety,    only transient, and yet who among us can hold a grudge against springtime

….    alrigh’, listen.  I may recognize your former master was educated in the arts in compared to mine… 

but, poetry evolves. you just have to accept it.
