Regarding this "poly-loop" section, there was opposition from both Perfume's record label and their management agency upon its release. The record label, Tokuma Japan Communications, expressed reluctance, stating, "There is a risk it will be mistaken for a skipping CD and treated as a defective product." Yasutaka Nakata pushed back against this stance, eventually persuading Tokuma to agree by arguing, "Fans won't be satisfied unless we do something at least this bold."
Additionally, their management agency, Amuse, decided to change the poly-loop section on the grounds that it could not be performed or broadcast on television or radio. When Perfume's manager informed Nakata of this decision, Nakata told the manager, "I'll go. I’ll go and explain it myself." He went directly to the Amuse offices and told the person in charge: "Today's younger generation is constantly adopting new things, so if you just listen to what young people are already hearing and try to match it, you're already too late. A creator must create while thinking ahead of that." He emphasized this point and directly objected to the decision. In response, Amuse explained, "But this poly-loop part will almost certainly never be played on TV or radio." Nakata countered, "It’s fine. I will create a 'radio edit' version with the poly-loop cut out. However, I want to go with this [version] for the lead track." He insisted on releasing the single with the poly-loop intact.
Furthermore, when Amuse argued back again, saying, "This instrumental bridge is too long," Nakata replied, "This is not an instrumental bridge. It is singing. (In the first place, I think the very idea of separating the bridge from the melody is wrong.)" He successfully persuaded Amuse, and moved by Nakata’s passion, the agency finally consented to including the poly-loop in "Polyrhythm."
