Rules

Football Femslash February is an event centred around women’s football fanworks (e.g., fic, fanvids, fanart, fan playlists), running from February 1st to February 28th, 2027. All are free to join so long as they follow the rules!

Key dates are as follows:

Sign-up Opens: 01/06/2026, 12:00AM UTC +1

Sign-up Closes: 01/10/2026, 11:59PM UTC +1

Assignments Due: 31/12/2026, 11:59PM UTC

1. No F/M or M/M prompts.

As this is an event meant to spotlight F/F and sapphic works, this is a given. Non-F/F or sapphic pairings can be featured, but F/F should ideally be the main focus. You make the judgement on what constitutes that. (Note: In the case of Gen, F&F is of course appreciated, though F&M is also allowed so long as focus is on the female player(s). Player x Reader fic is also allowed.)

2. On Rule 63 and player eligibility.

Rule 63 (genderbend) of male players is permitted but works should ideally feature at least one or more real-life female footballer. All female footballers, including those who have retired, are permitted by default. Athletes from other sports are also allowed by way of crossovers.

3. All works must be archive-locked.

Since this is an RPF event, this is a non-negotiable.

4. On minimum work lengths

The minimum parameters for work types is as following:

Fic: 50 words

Playlists: 15 minutes

Fanvids: 30 seconds

Fanpoetry: 5 lines

Fanart: up to you!
