“Chocolate pocky sounds fine..” Haru brushed the tears away from her eyes, taking a deep breath. “I do apologize for being so emotional this evening. I just..wish I wasn’t so dumb this evening.”

“It’s okay. Erm...”Futaba adjusts her glasses a little and leans against Haru’s shoulder. “...You want a hug? I got an extra supply of those for you.” She tried to cheer up Haru.

Yup, she felt like a screw up for sure. People skills were never Futaba’s strong suit. She could hack just about any computer system read all sorts of languages with no problem. But when it came to really talking to people…even to her friends…she failed horribly.

Knowing this, Futaba felt like shit for hurting her friend’s feelings. And with not even meaning too!!! Those tears that went down Haru’s cheek and onto Futaba’s arm was kinda the icing on the cake.

The young teen held Haru close and gently gave her head pats. “I-its okay…it’s really my fault. I wasn’t really thinking when I said that money would solve problems. Do…you still wanna play games..or um…m-maybe..get something to eat? I think I have some goodies in my mini fridge.” She offered, trying to cheer up Haru.

Though Haru knew that Futaba didn’t mean to hurt her feelings, she still felt that pang of pain in her chest. Distracting her from that terrible fancy date she was dumb enough to set up with Akira wasn’t working. She felt like a complete idiot in her own way for thinking that he would be different.

When Futaba mentioned food, she gave a light nod as she brushed the few fresh tears streaming down her cheeks. During their date, she hardly had the stomach to eat much. So eating now didn’t sound like a terrible idea. Sniffling, Haru looked up to the hacker.

“S-sure..ah..sorry..I’m such a mess right now.”

“It’s okay. Um...I think I have chocolate pocky and maybe some mini dinners that are better cold. Oh, I have one of those really yummy bentos! That should be good...r-right?” Futaba asked unsure if what she was offering was good.

“Y-yeah…don’t be mad at Inari…I’ve..been trying to keep quite about this sorta stuff…” She winced and held on to Akria. “..C-can..we please go inside..? I um…I think I did something to my hand…” Futaba said softly and showed him her bruised and slightly bloody left hand.

Akira nodded then led her inside, making sure to close the door behind him, and to the bathroom, where the medical supplies were located. “For you, I won’t be mad at him.” He said in a somewhat soft tone “Okay, let’s get your hand cleaned up to keep any cuts from becoming infected.” He said as he pulled out a bottle of peroxide and some bandages.

“Owie!! T-that hurts!!” Futaba winced as Akira cleaned her hand with peroxide. “This is why I normally don’t fight..the aftermath hurts too much..”She winced, looking the other way as she sat in the bathroom with him.
