I wonder if YiffJuliex still does NSFW stuff. They used to be a huge account in the furry NSFW scene. They deactivated their account, and old Instagram so I have no idea
I miss what Tumblr used to be.
To any Tumblr representative that will hopefully see this.
You want to maintain a sense of diversity and positivity and self expression among the people that use Tumblr. You guys want us, the users, to have the best experience possible, and most of us do that. You guys have done so well letting us be open and express ourselves and have fun in our own way. Whether it spans from a blog about someone’s life, to a constant meme posting blogger or to a blog that posts porn. Whatever it may be, whatever the creator has chosen to put as their blog, is their own self being open and expressing and sharing what they love hoping to find others that love what they love as well. And it’s crazy to think that such a community of openess and creativity will be taken away.
Yes, I get it. It’s adult content. However, you don’t have to ban it completely. Porn is a normal thing. You can control it all you want, however, all you higher up people in charge of this website are doing, is just reallocating everyone to another website, to start almost all over again, and do everything they can there.
You guys are giving up such a big community. A very big one. My own blog consists has just shy of 12,000 followers. 11,966. You’re taking this away from me. So many people that I bond with. So many people that I talk to about artists and their day and online socializing on a daily basis with them. And you’re willing to take that away from me?
Now, don’t just look at my blog. You’re also taking the freedom for smaller blogs to open up. Those ones that are shy that may find it strange or bad to be apart of a fandom like mine.
Yes it’s porn. I get it. Not everyone likes it. however you guys can go about it a different way. You’ve made NSFW restrictions for those that are under 18, and no not everyone follows them, but you can create more limits. Limits for those that don’t want to see this kind of stuff.
You guys are taking away such a big community and it’s never going to be the same. it’s never. Ever. Ever. Going to be the same. And I hope you guys see that before it’s too late. Too late to the point where you see how many people you’ve lost that use your app. Your website. Your anything to access Tumblr.
However, you’re okay with that? You’re seriously okay with that? To destroy such communities that bond together no matter how big or small you’re okay with that?
you can say, “You can make a blog that isn’t NSFW and doesn’t contain explicit content.” But it’s not the same.
I just hope you guys can see what you’re doing. Whether it’s right or wrong, and, you can argue it’s the right thing to do all you want to make a safer and more enjoyable experience for those that don’t want to see porn. But, you’re destroying us, those that have put time and effort. Those that have just started. Those that have formed bonds through the different things they find enjoyable. That they can relate to.
Because, porn isn’t always porn. It’s all different. Whenever I post something, that post has a chance to strike someone and bring their attention to it, thus messaging me about it and starting a conversation about furries. This topic then expands further into different types, favorites, and then evolves into more. Asking how their day was and knowing someone over the internet but still personally.
I’ve given people so many opportunities to open up to me and befriend me. Let me know who they are. Tell me their deepest darkest secrets and when they’re struggling.
And you’re just gonna take that away? You’re gonna take away my ability to bond with those that are struggling?
After the removal of explicit content on Tumblr, I have no reason to use it, ever ever ever again. Literally none. I come here to bond with friends and post what people enjoy. As disturbing as you may find it. It may not be disturbing to others. Those that appreciate the post.
But this is just me. A simple blog owner who doesn’t want to see his blog shut down.
Nor does any other explicit content poster. No matter how much time you’ve put into it, it’s still something. I’ve put over 4 years into this blog and you’re gonna rip that away from me.
Your website has now become the worst place for diversity and you’re now silencing those who are allowed to express themselves. But hey, I post explicit content, what do I know?@staff

A better, more positive Tumblr
Since its founding in 2007, Tumblr has always been a place for wide open, creative self-expression at the heart of community and culture. To borrow from our founder David Karp, we’re proud to have inspired a generation of artists, writers, creators, curators, and crusaders to redefine our culture and to help empower individuality.
Over the past several months, and inspired by our storied past, we’ve given serious thought to who we want to be to our community moving forward and have been hard at work laying the foundation for a better Tumblr. We’ve realized that in order to continue to fulfill our promise and place in culture, especially as it evolves, we must change. Some of that change began with fostering more constructive dialogue among our community members. Today, we’re taking another step by no longer allowing adult content, including explicit sexual content and nudity (with some exceptions).
Let’s first be unequivocal about something that should not be confused with today’s policy change: posting anything that is harmful to minors, including child pornography, is abhorrent and has no place in our community. We’ve always had and always will have a zero tolerance policy for this type of content. To this end, we continuously invest in the enforcement of this policy, including industry-standard machine monitoring, a growing team of human moderators, and user tools that make it easy to report abuse. We also closely partner with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Internet Watch Foundation, two invaluable organizations at the forefront of protecting our children from abuse, and through these partnerships we report violations of this policy to law enforcement authorities. We can never prevent all bad actors from attempting to abuse our platform, but we make it our highest priority to keep the community as safe as possible.
So what is changing?
Posts that contain adult content will no longer be allowed on Tumblr, and we’ve updated our Community Guidelines to reflect this policy change. We recognize Tumblr is also a place to speak freely about topics like art, sex positivity, your relationships, your sexuality, and your personal journey. We want to make sure that we continue to foster this type of diversity of expression in the community, so our new policy strives to strike a balance.
Why are we doing this?
It is our continued, humble aspiration that Tumblr be a safe place for creative expression, self-discovery, and a deep sense of community. As Tumblr continues to grow and evolve, and our understanding of our impact on our world becomes clearer, we have a responsibility to consider that impact across different age groups, demographics, cultures, and mindsets. We spent considerable time weighing the pros and cons of expression in the community that includes adult content. In doing so, it became clear that without this content we have the opportunity to create a place where more people feel comfortable expressing themselves.
Bottom line: There are no shortage of sites on the internet that feature adult content. We will leave it to them and focus our efforts on creating the most welcoming environment possible for our community.
So what’s next?
Starting December 17, 2018, we will begin enforcing this new policy. Community members with content that is no longer permitted on Tumblr will get a heads up from us in advance and steps they can take to appeal or preserve their content outside the community if they so choose. All changes won’t happen overnight as something of this complexity takes time.
Another thing, filtering this type of content versus say, a political protest with nudity or the statue of David, is not simple at scale. We’re relying on automated tools to identify adult content and humans to help train and keep our systems in check. We know there will be mistakes, but we’ve done our best to create and enforce a policy that acknowledges the breadth of expression we see in the community.
Most importantly, we’re going to be as transparent as possible with you about the decisions we’re making and resources available to you, including more detailed information, product enhancements, and more content moderators to interface directly with the community and content.
Like you, we love Tumblr and what it’s come to mean for millions of people around the world. Our actions are out of love and hope for our community. We won’t always get this right, especially in the beginning, but we are determined to make your experience a positive one.

Well….end of the road everyone…… I will miss everyone and blogs….
I really hope this doesn't go through, but even if it doesn't I'm afraid that people still won't come back,if they already left and found a different community then there's no reason to come back,so either way tumblr is dying...dying very quickly, please do anything you can to show them that doing this is a terrible idea....I hope to see you all again
