He associates his “papa” with Daigo, who as well all know, cares only about himself and is willing to do whatever it takes to maintain his power: sacrificing Hyakkimaru, wanting to have him killed once he found out he’s alive, turning his brother against him, and doing nothing when his wife stabs herself.

Thinking about this, it makes sense why he would call Jukai “mama”: he cared for him since he was a child, taught him how to survive, and continues to support him to this day. So to Hyakkimaru, Jukai is his “mama” and what a great mama he has!!

TL; DR: Hyakkimaru has two mamas, Nui No Kata and Jukai, and Daigo is still garbage.
