Not sure where to go with this but here it is.. Many might not have known that over the last 2.5 years I was seeing someone (off and on) as he was and still is in the closet.. and as the new year came, I needed to break away from “us” as it wasn’t healthy anymore. (as I can’t live a secret life anymore) and drinking himself to bed every night.

I physically and mentally have not been my normal self for a while, always stressing over everything, and wondering what my future holds for me.. I just feel like I wasted the last couple of years trying to build a future for myself and now here I am at step 1 again (minus buying a house and starting a business) This one just feels different than other “breakups” & I don’t know how to move on.. always feeling like the last resort, and only here when it’s most convenient for everyone else.

As I try to see the bigger picture for myself, I’m just lost and feel like I’ve been in a complete stand still over the last year or so.. I’ve redownloaded a few dating apps in the last months, and nothing just compares. Social media makes me feel like I’m drowning with all these high expectations expected from me, while letting my past shut me down on any chances with trying anything new with someone else.. I’m not sure if that’s just me, or that’s typical?

& also sorry for not being able to respond to everyones messages everyday, and people get so nasty and rude for no reason..

Anyhow, as the quote goes “roses lose their pedals, but they Bloom again.” I just need to accept the past, shed it off, and start doing what’s best for me. I appreciate the handful of close friends for having my back, even as times have been tough. I will be okay. I will get through this. Deep breath. I won’t let my depression get the best of me anymore. Just need positive thoughts. I love you guys. Sorry for the rant.
