ppl will reblog stuff like "you dont need to medically transition or be visibly nonconforming to be trans" and then misgender you 97 times, especially if your appearance doesnt land on the intersection of skinniness and whiteness that some ppl expect from trans representation

idk man im sick of it

being misgendered is never great, but im actually personally a lot less hurt by it when its just some rando in a coffee shop or some cashier, i genuinely do not care, personally speaking, if im recognized as trans at first sight by someone who's never met me before

but when its another trans person? or someone who ive corrected before? OR SOMEONE WHO IS TRANS AND WHO IVE CORRECTED BEFORE? OR MULTIPLE TRANS PPL WHO IVE CORRECTED BEFORE?!?!?

im not even someone who gets super pissed at one or two mistakes - it happens, we're all raised on the same traditional gender expression indicators, and that isn't something ppl tend to unlearn or untangle from, especially when other trans ppl use those same gendered indicators to pass or dispel dysphoria themselves. like, i get it.

but after the first or second time of misgendering me after you have been corrected? that's it. I'm done being gracious.

i see the hypocrisy. I SEE YOUR BULLSHIT. and if i scroll on your accounts and see posts about trans day of visibility and about how "not all transness is visible" posted on the same week you all misgendered me? yeah. im allowed to be bitter
