Reaction of a slut when she sees a rich guyâď¸âď¸
LISTEN UP GUYS. This is what losing net neutrality in the US would look like.Â
For those who donât know, âNet Neutrality is the principle that Internet providers like Comcast & Verizon should not control what we see and do online. In 2015, startups, Internet freedom groups, and 3.7 million commenters won strong net neutrality rules from the US Federal Communication Commission (FCC). The rules prohibit Internet providers from blocking, throttling, and paid prioritizationâ"fast lanes" for sites that pay, and slow lanes for everyone else.â
The above image shows an example of what losing net neutrality would look like. NO this does not mean it will only cost $10 for Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube. This means that on top of what youâre paying for these services, telecommunications companies will charge you an additional monthly charge just to use these websites at optimal speeds.Â
On top of this? Even if you were to pay all of this, telecommunications companies could STILL cap how much bandwidth you can use per month.Â
If you donât know how you can help here, THAT IS OKAY. Plenty of websites exist that make the fight for net neutrality so much easier! Take Battleforthenet.com for example. All you have to do is type in your number, and they will give you a script you need to read off, and will connect you to congress to say that you DO NOT SUPPORT THIS.Â
People of the internet, please. We cannot lose net neutrality. And the way things are going, it looks like weâre going to. Please please please at least reblog this so that others can see this as well.Â
Thank you
