Seeing a lot of Pearl hate across all social media platforms right now. Just came here to say she has been my favorite character for 10 plus years and I hate to see her legacy tarnished because all people can focus on right now is her VA. I keep saying this to a lot of people but please separate Pearl from her VA. Yes she does all of the dialogue and singing but that’s her job. Pearl is a character whose personality/storyline were made by Rebecca Sugar. I see a lot of people using the current situation with Deedee as an excuse to make fun of the character that people have loved for years and has not changed. I am disappointed as well but the VA is a real person and might side with something Pearl would never like. Stop calling Pearl MAGA.
Also, on X there is a lot of really weird stuff going around like people saying “shatter pearl” or “Pearl would be conservative”. Either those people hated Pearl before all of this or have never understood the show and what she stands for.
