“... I know the secret as to why there’s a p in raspberry, but now I’m not going to tell you.”

“Oh.” Her cheeks burned with embarrassment a little that she didn’t remember. “Sorry, I guess I don’t really pay that much attention. I like to stay away from that kind of stuff anyway.” She said sheepishly.

“Oh it’s quite alright!” he smiled, shrugging with his hands in his pockets. “I kinda live down there the whole world day anyhow. I barely surface from my work unless I have to take a bathroom break... Yeah uh it’s not for everyone.. Thankfully I have Emma and Herb down there to keep me company... Although Herb has expressed wanting to experiment on my brother..”

I am actually the winner here because I will not be partaking in the the consumption of illegal substances.

“Calm down man, not everyone is that wild, and who are you anyways? Some people might not wanna be where you are you know.”

“Name one responsible thing that happens at raves. I’m make good money. I’m doing what I like. I’m pretty sure most people would just kill for a job even if they didn’t like it.”

“D-don’t call me that! Ugh. Fine... But I’m going to the rave to keep an eye on you. If I see anything too inappropriate I’m stepping in.”

“Please, when I start dancing I’m pretty sure people start wondering what a monkey is doing on the dance floor.” She grinned, despite her joke not really being that funny. “You’re a scientist? What do you study?”

“Hey, not everyone can be a skilled pop n locker..You haven’t seen me at the anti-changed labs?” he asked, knowing her face from around the organization. “Uh yeah I basically do experimentation and such. It’s a nice gig... kinda morbid, but uh I get paid well.”

“I’ll probably still specimen them. No. Grinding. On. Boys.... or girls.. or any gender for that matter. Wear a long skirt and don’t show any ankle.”

“I suppose it’s each to their own. I prefer organisation over drinking and dancing, too.” She laughed softly. “I’m a bit of a freak when it comes to things like that, I admit.”

“I’m not much of a dancer either. I look like I have a something in my sleeves that I’m trying to shake out when I dance. That’s kinda why I have a job in the lab instead of being a Rockette.”

“Hm, I don’t know, I think it’s nice that people are having a little break from the controversy going on. It just shows they can still have fun!”

“People can have fun without the drugs and loud music. For example, I had fun trying to arrange my sock drawers the other night.”

“...Oh, Lulu, don’t worry about it just--- tell me if an inhuman tries touching you or anyone inappropriately without consent because then I’ll make that specimen an experiment.”

“Yeah because that’s gonna help. You might as well be handing out ant-drug posters to pigeons. “

“Pigeons are smart enough not to get involved with cocaine.”

“Either you really don’t like raves, or you weren’t invited and are extremely sour about it.” She giggled.

“I can assure you, it is not the latter. I just don’t like events help to celebrate sloth when there’s work to be done and society is crumbling.”
