Uh... well PERSONALLY my critiques with EMH in your previous ask stand. If you want it to retain value make sure it's enjoyable a second time around.
My issue with MH (and I know a lot of people disagree with me) is that it got to the point where there was more plot than substance. Like I stopped watching because it was a lot of Tim and Jay dicking around. I mean I understand plot is important and I don't want them to sacrifice it for the sake of the thrills, but I feel like what made it thrilling and interesting was sacrificed for the sake of the plot (and just finishing the series already. None of them expected it to go on that long).
Just basically find a balance between interesting and new, and keep the classic things still there. Make it different, but not too different that you'll alienate the established fans. Don't worry about the story to the point that it's basically just story time, and don't be all over the place around it. Focus on Slenderman, and don't feel the need to add too much stuff in unless you feel it fits and you're getting stale.
And mostly have fun it's your story and your creative process and even tho that's what I want from a series, it might not be where you want to go. So do what you feel is right, and do what you like, and that will get people to enjoy it. An audience is important to listen to; they're who you're doing this for, but don't go out of your way to do what they want, if it's not something you want.
