Fuck Yeah Merlin Femslash

Femslash February is an initiative where people try to create and/or focus on f/f ships for the month of February. (See the original post on tumblr, and a FAQs, both by user soaringrachel) So, since all Merlin femslash pairings are rare pairings, I thought I would let you know this is a thing, AND also invite you to participate if you can. If you create a fanwork (fic, art, fanmix, podfic, etc.) as part of February Femslash, you are more than welcomed to post it to the untold_legends community, as a way of sharing. All you have to do is join and make a post. If you do not have an LJ account you can send me a message on LJ or on this tumblr with a link to your fanwork and I’ll post it for you. It will also be cross-posted on this tumblr. Of course, this is completely optional. And if you’re writing femslash for the fest, there is no pressure to post it this month, and you can still post it at the end of the fest in April.

BUT

Come and play in the comm and rec all your favourite femslash fanworks featuring our wonderful Merlin ladies. Anything from fics, to fanart, to fanvids, etc. Links to tumblr graphics are also more than welcomed. 

If you cannot/won’t comment on LJ, you can make a post on your tumblr and send me the link, and I’ll reblog it (or tag it with ‘untold legends meme’).

Summary: Once upon a midnight clear, a fairytale stretched her wings. With hair of moon, skin of night and wings phoenix feather, she flickered in the corner of mortal’s eyes – never quite being seen.

The fairytale that Morgana dreamt about all her life was just days away from fruition and it seemed to her that life had never been sweeter. But Camelot’s court is a dangerous place and someone knows her secret.

Sequel to At My Most Beautiful, though reading that first is not essential if its length daunts you.

So, remember when I said I was 4,000 words into the At My Most Beautiful sequel titled Once Upon a Midnight? Well its now finished and coming in at 21,000 words. And I’m looking for a beta. I have one but I would like to have another.

Here is some information on the Once Upon a Midnight to help you decide:

Pairing: Morgana/Morgause with a surprise bit of another ship that I don’t want to give away at this point.

Rateing: R, perhaps. 

Setting: The tale is set in an AU which is more or less based on canon but with several major differences: Arthur was never born, Morgana and Morgause are not related but come from distinct families which play a big role in the tale, Gorlois is Morgana’s father and Uther married Morgana when she came of age. Morgause is a knight.

Morgana shivered, swaying to the beat of the horse-skin drums and the crackling of the towering fires. It was like nothing she had ever felt. It was the headiness of dark mead. The other-worldliness of a dream. And the burning of want.

“Come,” Morgause breathed in her ear, her arms sliding around Morgana’s waist as she pressed up behind her. “It is time.”

Her head falling back, Morgana smiled and dropped her hands to Morgause’s, feeling her untie her robe and open her up to the cold and moonlight.

“Come,” Morgause whispered again, taking one of Morgana’s hands and spinning her around, pulling her close.

“That a promise, is it?” Morgana breathed in the split second that her mouth brushed Morgause’s ear.

When Morgana spun away again, she caught sight of Morgause’s stunned expression and felt the Goddess laugh within her.  She felt Morgause’s eyes watching her, boring into her when she thought Morgana was not looking. Hungrier and hungrier her gaze grew, until she could take it no more.

The next time she was within range of Morgana, she grabbed her around the waist and kissed her with all the force of the roaring fire around which they danced. Cheering rose around them and Morgana laughed.

“And here was me thinking all these months that you were all longing gazes and no action,” Morgana teased, artfully evading a kiss.

“The Jordan-Sinclair file is in the blue folder, you need to sign the forms in the green one, Arthur called to say he would be there around ten tonight, and your dress is hanging behind the door,” says Gwen coming in the office and handing Morgana a couple of folders.

Morgana takes them, sign the files with quick, sharp flicks of her wrist, before giving them back to Gwen. She walks around her desk toward the bathroom, silently cursing her useless brother for always finding some fucking excuse to be late to their family dinner.

“New shoes?” asks Gwen leaning on Morgana’s desk.

“You like?” Morgana turns toward her, smirking as Gwen’s eyes slowly follow the lines of her legs, up her body, to her face.

“I like.”

“I’ll keep them when I come home tonight then?”
