I used to ship these two so hard as a kid. Nowadays I appreciate the dynamic between Aelita and Jeremie more, but I still LOVE their relationship, whether platonic, romantic, or any other way.

I remember back in the day, when coming back home from school to a new episode was all I cared back. I remember being obsessed with the show, it's lore, its mysteries. Aelita, as a concept more than as a character, captivated me. I love her design - I think the show's original designs for the Lyoko Warriors were just better for me personally.

But oh well.

favorite thing: I guess his very goofy moments earlier in the show. I like when he acts less like a plot device and more like just a normal kid. Really helps with the contrast between what he's like doing Lyoko shit vs. what he's like when he's just living his life

least favorite thing: I don't really hate a lot of his character, but one of my pet peeves is kind of how his friends kind of push him around too much. He's just a kid way in over his head, don't fucking bully him man.

brOTP: I really adore his friendship with the rest of the gang so much, but probably my favorite is his relationship with Ulrich. While it isn't shown much in series, I adore their little dynamic in XANA Awakens and its one of the main reasons why that friendship is such a huge focal point in a lot of my fics. I just really adore their dynamic.

OTP: Aelita. Obviously.

nOTP: Canonically? Can't really think of anyone. I can see a lot of characters getting with him, even in a semi-canon context. Noncanonically? Laura. I hate her character so much and all she does, among other things, is bring unnecesary drama to JERLITA OF ALL THINGS!

random headcanon: His mom died when he was young in a car crash. Its the reason why we don't see her or hear her mentioned at all and it partially kind of explains his overworking behavior and why he's willing to help an AI escape a digital world (he kind of views humanity differently compared to other people)

unpopular opinion: I feel like he wouldn't go to college. Not because he can't, but because he would be too advanced for it and he knows it. He's learned how to manage a complex AF supercomputer and make programs for it, and has made tech during his war against XANA that most companies and governments would be paying millions of dollars for. If anything, I can imagine that the only reason he graduated highschool was to hang out with his friends. He's definitely a 'Does Groundbreaking Shit Without A College Degree' kind of genius

Song I Associate With Him: Not really Jeremie-core, but I always kind of associated him with I'm Just A Kid by Simple Plan. Not only is it a 2000s-era song, but the lyrics also give me Jeremie energy. Especially if you interpret it in a 'Fighting XANA Alone' context (Which is a planned AU I really want to do at some point)

Favorite Picture of Him: I love how he's such a goober in this one. Complete contrast to what he's like in the rest of the series but I adore him.
