Important facts about DID
DID is caused by repeated childhood trauma before the child has gained a personal sense of self. Most children gain this sense of self around 6-9 years old. Therefore, DID cannot form after the ages of 6-9.
DID is caused by repeated childhood trauma. Trauma can include physical, mental, emotional, or sexual abuse, invasive medical procedures, repeated natural disasters, severe neglect, and/or war. The trauma must have been repetitive. Without trauma, DID cannot form.
To have DID, amnesia must occur. Amnesia is defined as gaps in the recall of everyday events, important personal information and/or traumatic events.
If someone does not fit all of the criteria for DID, theyâre diagnosed with OSDD (Other Specified Dissociative Disorder.) For instance: If someone does not experience amnesia, they do not meet the diagnostic criteria for DID, and will be diagnosed with OSDD.
Fictives (or Fictional Introjects) exist in some systems. Fictives are fictional characters that become alters. They are formed like any other alter, from trauma, either at a young age, or stress happening to someone who ALREADY has DID. They do not develop just from a love of a character, or from wanting that character to be real. They are not the same as imaginary friends, or roleplay characters.
DID is not the same as being kin with someone/something. Being kin with a character means relating to that character. This is not the same as an alter. Some people may believe they are the character that they are kin with, but this is not DID either.
Alters are not roleplay characters. People who roleplay and create characters might feel like their characters have their own personalities, to the point that the character âdoesnât listen to themâ about certain things, but this is a fairly normal thing for writers. It is not DID, and they are not alters. EDIT: Roleplay characters, like any other character, can be introjected into the system in some cases, if the person already has DID. (You can still do whatever youâd like with that character, even if it feels like they would disagree. Knowing how they would feel about certain actions, or feeling like they wouldnât agree or approve of you doing something when writing what they would do is not the same as an alter. Take it from someone who has both alters and roleplay characters: they are not even remotely the same.)
Alters are made inside the personâs mind. Therefore, alters cannot come from outside someoneâs mind. Some alters believe that they came from elsewhere, and even have memories of lives before being an alter, but this is part of DID, and is an illusion. (I have an alter who has memories of a life before becoming an alter. I am not belittling any alters who have these memories or beliefs.)
Alters cannot travel between people. No one can send an alter into someone elseâs mind, or send one of their alters out of their own minds. (This is in fact a very dangerous idea that can be used by abusers to further hurt or control people with DID.)
Alters cannot die or be erased. They can be sectioned off so much that they are no longer felt, or put in a hibernation state, but they are not gone. Integrating is an option some systems choose to pursue, but even then, the alter is not gone, theyâve just become part of another alter or the system as a whole.
Alters are parts of a single person that has been kept from being able to gain a full sense of self or identity because of trauma as a child. This does not make the alters fake, and does not mean that the host or core (if there is one) can control them. Alters are not the same person, and do not identify as each other or the host or core. This is the entire point of DID, to not identify as each other in order to compartmentalize traumatic events so the person is able to go on living. (Itâs completely normal and in fact part of the disorder for alters and the core/host to not see themselves as the same person. For all intents and purposes, they are not the same person.)
DID is a serious mental condition caused by trauma. It is not a fad, or a game.
Everyone experiences the symptoms of DID differently. This does not mean that if someone does not meet the DSM criteria for DID, they have it anyway.
DID is not accurately represented in media. If you see a show, book, movie or game that says itâs about DID, or seems to have aspects of DID, assume that itâs wrong, or take it with a grain of salt. (The exceptions being recent case studies, books from people who have DID, and the like. Sybil and other such media is not an accurate representation.)
DID has been around for a very long time, and has been recorded all the way back to the 1400âČs. Just because they didnât have the same terminology or understanding of it that we do today, doesnât mean it didnât exist.
Good info~Scarlet
you made me feel like i was hard to love and i will never forgive you for that
LOVE YOURSELF
- Always keep sweats, comfy shoes, makeup wipes, condoms, gum, a phone charger, a hair brush, and taxi fare in your purse/car.
- Wipe front to back
- Donât use body washes or scrubs when cleaning your downstairs area. A little water goes a long way. Make sure to wash all around the vulva and gently get around your clitoris. USING YOUR FINGERS TO WASH IS BEST. Your vagina and vulva have natural bacteria and oils that are disrupted if you use soaps and sprays/ if you wash too harshly or excessively. They are delicate little things.
- SOAPS ALSO CAUSE VAGINAL DRYNESS
- DO NOT USE DOUCHES ever ever ever!!!
- Always pee after sex to prevent UTIs
- Coconut oil can be used for just about anything: shaving cream, moisturizer, lip balm, deep conditioner, cooking, insect repellent, makeup remover.. the list goes on. Get unrefined virgin coconut oil and youâll smell and feel great. A little goes a long way so donât over do it.
- EXFOLIATE at least once a week. You can buy an exfoliator at any drug store but I like to make my own but DO NOT use on your lady bits.
***1/2c coffee grinds, 2-3tbsp coconut oil, sea salt
***1 1/4c white sugar, 1/2c olive oil, 3tbsp lemon juice (good for legs, DONâT USE ON FACE OR VAGINA)
- DONâT EVER use sugar on, in, or around your vagina and try to avoid using brown sugar or hard scrubs on your face
- You can experiment a lot with your bath water and different things you can put in it. I just found some really great recipes for detox baths:
***1c ground up oatmeal, 1c epsom salts, 2tbsp lavender buds.. Mix all the ingredients and add 2-3 spoonfuls to your bath water
***1c epsom salts, œ baking soda, 10 drops of essential oils
***1-2c milk, œ pure honey
***Add 6-10 green tea bags to your bath water
- Essential oils in a bath are greatâŠ. Just some examples and benefits: Lavender is calming, Grapefruit is energizing, Peppermint helps with fatigue, Chamomile and Rosemary help with headaches and are also calming.
- YONI OIL by Goddess Body is amazing. It helps restore the balance of your yoni aka vagina and it is also antibacterial!!! Be careful if youâre buying from a different brand because different brands have different mixtures and some arenât very good for you.
- THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!!! Oils and oil based products break down the material in condoms which causes breaks or tears!!!!! If you plan on getting some please do not put oils around your coochie for your own safety!!!!!!
- Face masks are great for skin health and relaxation. Some of my favourite recipes are:
***1 banana and 1tbsp honey
***Plain yogurt
***1tbsp honey and 1/2tsp each of cinnamon and nutmeg (doubles as a sweetener for Chai tea)
- Shave downward or diagonally when shaving your bikini line. USE MENSâ RAZORS. Pat dry with a cold face cloth immediately after shaving to close pores and use a non-scented lotion to prevent irritation and razor bumps.
- If you have crusty ass feet exfoliate them in the bath, pat dry then use Burtâs Bees Coconut Foot Cream and put on socks right after. If theyâre really bad, put this cream on before bed and sleep with socks on. This is especially good during cold weather.
- Make sure to moisturize every day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- When washing your hair; shampoo your roots and condition your tips.
- Donât go to bed with you hair wet. Rub coconut oil into your scalp and brush it out before bed, wash in the morning.
- Massage your scalp with aloe vera for at least 30 seconds before you go to bed/ before you wash your hair to promote hair growth.Â
- The more you touch and pick at acne the more oily your face will get.
- Dilute 1tsp of apple cider vinegar in 1c of water for a natural facial toner.
- Try to reduce your sugar intake to prevent acne and yeast infections.
- Cranberry juice works better than pineapple juice. Drink lots of this and AT LEAST 2L of water a day to keep your yoni healthy.
- Green/ Black tea, fruits, veggies, yogurt, and WATER all support good yoni health and just overall body health.
-Â KALE IS A GOD SEND. It tastes better than spinach and you can put it in a smoothie, mix it in with your salad, bake and season it for kale chips, or just eat it as is. Itâs extremely high in iron which is good if youâre anemic and get light-headed/dizzy during your time of the month.Â
- Eating healthy promotes good mental health as well as physical health so keep your brain healthy too!!
If youâre needing a day to yourself, run a bath and add 1 cup of apple cider vinegar. Get a face cloth and wash yourself all over just with the bath water, especially your bizness. Apple Cider vinegar helps to restore your pH balance to keep you fresh and clean. Shave with coconut oil, exfoliate, then shave again to get all the dead skin off your legs. Scrub the dead skin off your feet and knees and elbows. Empty and rinse the tub and fill it back up with some oils or bath mixes of your choosing. Make yourself a tea or have some water near the tub. Put on a face mask and play some music or read a book or watch a show on Netflix and relax until the water is warm. Drain the water and rinse off quickly with cool water to get all the toxins and oils off your body. As soon as you get out, pat dry and lotion yourself, put on socks or slippers to keep your feet clean and then get into comfy cloths. Wear cotton underwear if you have them because they help get air to your yoni.Â

Do yourself a favor. Learn to code. Here's how.
Iâve said this to my non-techie friends countless times. Itâs no secret that being able to code makes you a better job applicant, and a better entrepreneur. Hell, one techie taught a homeless man to code and now that man is making his first mobile application.
Learning to code elevates your professional life, and makes you more knowledgeable about the massive changes taking place in the technology sector that are poised to have an immense influence on human life.
(note: yes I realize that 3/5 of those links were Google projects)
But most folks are intimidated by coding. And it does seem intimidating at first. But peel away the obscurity and the difficulty, and you start to learn that coding, at least at its basic level, is a very manageable, learnable skill.
There are a lot of resources out there to teach you. Iâve found a couple to be particularly successful. Hereâs my list of resources for learning to code, sorted by difficulty:
Novice
Never written a line of code before? No worries. Just visit one of these fine resources and follow their high-level tutorials. You wonât get into the nitty-gritty, but donât worry about it for now:
Dash - by General Assembly
CodeAcademy
w3 Tutorials (start at HTML on the left sidebar and work your way down)
Intermediate
Now that youâve gone through a handful of basic tutorials, itâs time to learn the fundamentals of actual, real-life coding problems. Iâve found these resources to be solid:
Khan Academy
CodeAcademy - Ruby, Python, PHP
Difficult
If youâre here, youâre capable of building things. You know the primitives. You know the logic control statements. Youâre ready to start making real stuff take shape. Here are some different types of resources to turn you from someone who knows how to code, into a full-fledged programmer.
Programming problems
Sometimes, the challenges in programming arenât how to make a language do a task, but just how to do the task in general. Like how to find an item in a very large, sorted list, without checking each element. Here are some resources for those types of problems
Talentbuddy
TopCoder
Web Applications
If you learned Python, Django is an amazing platform for creating quick-and-easy web applications. Iâd highly suggest the tutorial - itâs one of the best Iâve ever used, and you have a web app up and running in less than an hour.
Django Tutorial
Iâve never used Rails, but itâs a very popular and powerful framework for creating web applications using Ruby. Iâd suggest going through their guide to start getting down-and-dirty with Rails development.
Rails Guide
If you know PHP, thereâs an ocean of good stuff out there for you to learn how to make a full-fledged web application. Frameworks do a lot of work for you, and provide quick and easy guides to get up and running. Iâd suggest the following:
Cake PHP Book
Symfony 2 - Get Started
Yii PHP - The Comprehensive Guide
Conclusion
If thereâs one point I wanted to get across, itâs that it is easier than ever to learn to code. There are resources on every corner of the internet for potential programmers, and the benefits of learning even just the basics are monumental.
If you know of any additional, great resources that arenât listed here, please feel free to tweet them to me @boomeyer.
Best of luck!
Oh perfect
DO IT NOW: Guide to Proper Bra Fit and Measuring because Victoria Secret and La Senza and whatever are full of shit and you are definitely wearing the wrong size ok? ok
Hi guys Iâm obsessed with this shit lately because I donât want anyone to have unhappy, unsupported boobs like I did. Even if you think your boobs and bras are fine, try it. It will make a big difference in comfort, support, and shape, even if you have small boobs or big boobs. A proper fitting bra can fix back, shoulder, and neck pain, along with breast soreness - and it can help you look 10lbs lighter, and your breasts a hell of a lot perkier. This guide also works for proper-sized bikinis and bathing suits (many online stores linked to below sell both- sometimes for as low as 10$!)
Donât just like this, REBLOG IT. EVERYBODY WITH BOOBS DESERVES A PROPER FIT. Even if you donât wear bras yourself, spread it around to tumblr or with your friends or family.
Grab a soft tape measurer (use inches) and get nekkid - donât wear a bra or shirt please, you donât wear a bra or shirt underneath your bra, do you? This part is fast and easy, and will help you find your âStarting Pointâ bra size - you may not end up in this exact size, but it will get you in the right ballpark.
How to Measure:
Measure your underbust - go right underneath the root of your breasts, but make sure the tape is straight/parallel to the floor. Take a firm, snug measurement - if you have chub, take it tighter.
Measure your bust bent over - bend forward so your back is parallel to the  floor and your boobs are hanging so you have access to all that beautiful breast tissue that is now brought forward. Measure very loosely around the nipples, keeping tape straight/horizontal/perpendicular to the floor.
If your breasts are kind of empty and/or have a lot of sag, this method may overestimate your cup size. Instead, take your bust measurement bent over, standing, and lying flat on your back, and take an average of those three measurements and use that for your calculations.
How to Use These Measurements to find your âStarting Sizeâ:
Round up your underbust measurement to the nearest even number. If you are only half an inch or less away from being a lower size, use that instead (unless you have a bony ribcage). This is automatically your band size. No BS. There is no adding imaginary inches here.
The difference between your underbust measurement and your bust measurement dictates your cup size. Every 1 inch in difference represents a cup size, so 1 inch = A, 2 = B, 3 = C, 4 = D. As you can see here, a true D or DD cup is actually pretty fucking small.Â
CUP SIZES ARE NOT STANDARD, UNLIKE COMMONLY THOUGHT (AND TOLD TO US BY ASSHOLES LIKE VS). They are TOTALLY relative to band size. The cup on a 30D has 4 inches less volume than the cup on a 34D. A 30D is actually the same cup size as a 34B!Â
No one has their shit together on the lettering for each cup size, so hereâs a handy dandy chart. Remember to go with UK measurement as they somewhat have their shit together (and because American companies do not make much above DD, so thereâs literally no point in knowing it, but the European sizing may come in handy)
I DONâT CARE IF YOU LIVE IN THE USA, DO NOT USE THE AMERICAN MEASUREMENTS, FFS. YOUâLL ONLY MAKE THINGS HARDER AND MORE CONFUSING FOR YOURSELF. ANY BOUTIQUE IN NORTH AMERICA WORTH GOING TO, AND 99% OF ONLINE STORES, IS GOING TO SELL PRIMARILY BRITISH OR EUROPEAN BRANDS AND WILL GO BY THEIR SIZING. THERE IS LITERALLY NO POINT IN KNOWING AMERICAN SIZING
DO NOT USE AMERICAN SIZING
DO NOT USE AMERICAN FUCKING SIZING
EVEN IF YOU ARE AMERICAN
AND LIVE IN THE US
USE THE BRITISH SIZING
For example, I have a 29.5 inch underbust and a 38 inch bust when bent over. So, I should take a 30 band and then thereâs an 8 inch difference. So I am a 30FF in UK sizing. This is just my starting point when looking for bras, and I may not always end up with this exact size
Do not pull the âomg no Iâm not a G cup my boobs arenât that big youâre more stupid that the idea of vegetable breadâ shit with me ok? You drank the Kool-Aid and now you need to piss it out. CUP SIZES ARE NOT STANDARD. A 34D IS BIGGER IN THE CUPS THAN A 30E. Here, take a look at a chart of cup volumes and see what I mean.
Also⊠not all âbig cupâ bras are ugly and granny-like. Just check out brands like Freya or Gossard or Gorteks or Panache or Cleo! They are gorgeous!
Trying it on: What a proper fit is like
ALWAYS SCOOP AND SWOOP BEFORE ASSESSING WHETHER IT FITS OR NOT. What does this mean? This means bend over, hike up your bra so that it sits right under the root of your breasts. Then, start smooshing all your back fat and armpit rolls or any loose tissue thats underneath or to the side of the cup, INTO the cup. All that stuff is breast tissue that got pushed around from your shitty bras, no I am not bullshitting - after a few months of wearing better bras, many people end up having to get a bigger cup and sometimes even a smaller band too, as all the smooshed breast tissue migrates back to the boob, where it should be. Not kidding. So get everything in there and make sure the wire is positioned perfectly under your boobs. Then stand up and assess the fit. If it seemed to fit before scooping, it wonât fit now.
THIS IS JUST A STARTING POINT. Try on your starting size and work from there. You may need to go up or down a band size, or up or down many cup sizes. Not all brands or even models in that brand are made the same way, and the shape of your boobs also helps determine the size and fit, so donât try on JUST the size you calculated, say âit doesnât fitâ, and then give up and go back to your 36Cs. You arenât doing yourself any favours. If you donât feel comfortable in your âstarting point sizeâ, go ahead and try a size up or down in bands and/or a size or two or even three up or down in cups as needed.
ALWAYS start on the loosest hook. If you need to start on the tightest hook, go down a band size. The point of hooks is simple - as your bra gets used, it gradually loses its elasticity and gets loose. So, you use your hooks to bring it in, and when you reach the last hook, well, be prepared to get rid of your bra in a few months (unless you invest in a band tightener like the Rixie Clip)
A proper fit means the bra band is straight and parallel to the floor. If it isnât, and seems to be getting pulled up, its too big and isnât supporting you. Get a smaller band. You shouldnât be able to stretch it more than a couple inches off your back. It may feel tight at first, but bras do need âbreaking inâ and you are used to wearing things that do not fit correctly, so give it a chance. Of course, it should not hurt either!
A proper fit means your bra straps are not digging in.Â
A proper fit means the gore (the little centerpiece of the bra where the wires sort of meet) MUST tack/sit firmly against your chest. If it doesnât, then the wires are not truly fully underneath your boobs and so are not giving you the proper support.Â
A proper fit means your boobs must fit smoothly into the entire cup (after scooping and swooping). The wire should totally encase all your breast tissue (this includes armpit fat and stuff). There should be no empty space at the bottom or top of the cup. Your boobs should not be overflowing from the top of the cup. If thereâs overflowing or uncontained tissue after scooping, or of it feels tight, get a bigger cup.
A proper fit means you should be able to lift your arms over your head and jump around without the band or underwire budging or exposing underboob.
Size Tweaks/Troubleshooting (make sure you scoop and swoop first):
The band feels tight: Is the gore tacking or not? If not, go up a cup size or two (or maybe even three or four). Even if the gore is tacking, try this first. The band may be tight because the cups are too small, so your boobs are stretching the band out too much to overcompensate for lack of cup depth, making it feel tighter. If after trying larger cups, it still feels uncomfortably tight, go up a band size (and down a cup size if the first size fit well in the cups - remember, cup is relative to band, a 32DD is the same in the cups as a 34D). Remember though that it takes a few days to break a bra in, so it may feel tight or perfect at first, and then comfortable or too loose later.
The band feels loose/band is riding up and not remaining parallel to the floor: Go down a band size (and up a cup size or two because blablah relativity).Â
The gore is not tacking, but band is not tight: Band size is too big, or maybe fits just right - but the cups are too small. You know what to do.
Boobs spilling over: Go up a cup size. Check first though that the bottom of the cup is not empty, and hike it up if it is!
Empty space at bottom of cup: Hike that shit up so it gets right to the roots of your breasts. This may fix bulging/spillage. If you canât get it higher, then you need a smaller cup or this make of bra is just not suited to your shape.
Empty space at top of cup: You need a smaller cup, or this shape of bra just does not suit you your breasts, especially if your breasts are not very full on top. Or you need to scoop and swoop!
Straps digging in: Loosen them. If your boobs suddenly sag, then the band is not supportive enough, and you need a tighter band.
Armpit rolls: Bigger cup and/or scoop and swoop that shit. The cut of bra may also just not be for you (for now anyway - your armpit rolls may migrate back into the boobs and disappear eventually!)
They donât even make my size!!: If youâre in a 28-48 D-KK (UK sizing) cup, you will find your size online easily enough. however, if you have a smaller band than that or need smaller cups, they are hard to find - message me and Iâll try to help you with a solution!
So, for example, my starting size may be 30FF, but I may end up wearing a 28G or H if the band of that model is too loose and the gore not tacking. Or the band may be fine and I may need a bigger cup so Iâll get a 30G. Or The band may be good but the cups too big, so Iâll get a 30F or E. Or the band may be too small to be comfortable and Iâll wear a 32F or E (same cupsize-ish as 30FF!).Â
 What Not to Do:
NEVER PUT YOUR BRA IN THE DRYER. AND PREFERABLY, WASH IT BY HAND. The heat and twisting ruins the elasticity of the bra and reduces its life! This is the best way to ruin bras, donât do it.
Do not add 3 or 4 or 5 inches or whatever to your band measurement. That is BS that American companies use so that they donât have to manufacture a larger range of sizes - they use it to fit you into their stock, not their stock onto you. The band will be too big and unsupportive. Those 4 inches they add to the band are 4 inches that should be in the cup size, so no wonder people think anything over DD should be huge.
Do not measure your âoverbustâ cause really what the fuck does that have to do with how large you are underneath your boobs, come on
Do not do the above because 80% of the support comes from the band, which needs to be firm against you and not be sliding or moving around.Would you wear underwear 4 inches bigger than your hips? No, so why would you wear a bra band 4 inches bigger than your ribcage that gets pulled up and stuff and would fall off if not for the straps, while expecting it to support the boobies at the same time?
Do not go down a band size and then forget to go up a cup size or two. Again, cup sizes are not static. A 30FF is the same cup volume as a 32F or E. If you donât do this, no shit the bra will fit badly or feel tight.
Do not go straight to Victoriaâs Secret or La Senza or whatever, even if you are lucky enough to fit in their small range of sizes - they donât seem to follow sizing very well. Still, try, by all means, but be aware that their bras may be odd compared to others.
"But where do I get these Bras? Iâve never even seen these sizes!â
Luckily, the internet makes this shit really easy. Buying bras online is nearly always way cheaper, even with shipping, and even if coming from somewhere in Europe! But of course, its best to try on stuff first, to avoid the hassle of return shipping (even though its still not that expensive - just annoying). So what I advise is to find a store near you, try stuff on there, note down the Brand, Model, and Size, and then buy it online for up to a quarter of of the in-store price.
If you canât find a store near you, online ordering is still extremely cheap, even with return shipping. Instead of getting a whole bunch of bras in only 1 size each, pick out a few models and order a few sizes of each. Ex: one with a bigger or smaller band if your measurements are close to needing a bigger or smaller band size, and then some up or down a couple cup sizes so you can compare the fit. When you have the perfect fit in one bra, it will be easier to go on Bratabase or r/ABraThatFits and have them suggest bras that give similar shape or suggest a different size to you as a model youâre interested in may run large or small.
So, Where to Find:
Note: You can find proper-sized bras as low as 10$ US online (particularly from ebay or brastop.com) and most average 30-45$.
List of Online Retailers from BustyResourcesWiki:Â A complete list of online retailers around da world. Many ship internationally so take a look at all of them (particularly the UK ones)
Ebay, Etsy, and Amazon all have bras inexpensively.
List of Offline Retailers from BustyResourcesWiki: List of chain-stores (not of privately owned stores)
If in Canada, look for a Change Lingerie near you to try on bras. Note that they only carry their own brand.
If in the USA, look for a Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack near you to try on bras. They carry all sorts of brands and have an online store as well (and also ship to Canada!)
Use a store locator from the webpage of a bra brand company to find non-chain, privately owned stores - if they have one of these brands, theyâll have others. Hereâs the locator for Freya, Curvy Kate, Fantasie, Chantelle, Panache, and Affinitas. There are more than just these of course.
If you are small in the band AND in the cup (under a D cup) look at the Little Bra Company.
Ask around on Bratabase or r/ABraThatFits for stores near you.
WOMAN, YOU HAVE THE INTERNET! GOOGLE! YELP!
WARNING: There are many chain stores (Nordstrom, Lane Bryant, Mark and Spencer, Change etc) that do bra fittings and have a good reputation. However, each store is different - some measure correctly, and some use the stupid VS method. Every store has a different team of employees and knowledge. DO NOT GO IN WITHOUT HAVING MEASURED YOURSELF FIRST, JUST IN CASE THEY ARE ONE OF THE BAD STORES. DO NOT TRUST ALL BRA FITTERS, EVEN IF SOMEONE RECOMMENDED THEM TO YOU. If your fitter gives you a measurement different from this one, be mentally prepared to have a difficult time getting them to help you find the right bra.
I had the fitter at Change help me, and when I mentioned that the gore did not tack, she said âOh, the gore never touches the chest with these brasâ. I was like HAHA NOPE BRING ME A LARGER CUP WOMAN. And lo and behold, 2 extra cup sizes later, the gore tacked (and my boobs stopped spilling out). She was very nice otherwise but if I hadnât known better that could have been bad.

How do you read so many books in one year? Can you tell us a bit about yourself? What you do for a living, whether you write, what your favourite books or favourite kinds of books are, who some of your favourite authors are, and anything else you'd like to share.
I answered your questions after the read-more. This ask kind of got away with me.

Beautiful German
As a german who speaks quite fluent english I have internally complained a lot of times for the lack of certain words in english which are common nature in german. Therefor I decided to make a list of beautiful german words.
Wunderschön - Wunder = Miracle - Schön = Beautiful -> Translating to miraculously (or magically) beautiful. Example: Du bist wunderschön. / You are miraculously beautiful.
Vorfreude - Vor = Before / Previous- - Freude = Joy Definition: The word âVorfreudeâ describes the joy one feels in anticipation of something joyful to happen. Unlike anticipation, the word âVorfreudeâ only associates to positive upcoming experiences. An example of the feeling of âVorfreudeâ would be as a child being happy short before ones birthday/christmas in anticipation of knowing one would get pleasant gifts.
Augenblick - Augen = Eyes - Blick = Gaze Definition: It describes seeing that one split-second or the instant you see of pure beauty of something oustanding or special. Itâs that one special moment - that special âAugenblickâ. It is just one look, one gaze with the eyes.
Habseligkeiten - Hab und Gut = A phrase for naming your belongings - Selig is the adjective form of Seele = Soul - Selig = Blessed / Overjoyed / Blissful in a religious and/or spiritual way - The ending of -keiten is a similar ending like the english -ing. Itâs only a grammatical necessarity. Definition: âHabseligkeitenâ are your very few belongings which are very special and precious to you and worth a lot to you on an emotional basis. A certain picture, something from your childhood, a remembrance of a beloved one and so on.
Geborgenheit - The noun form of the word âgeborgenâ - This word simply does not translate into english and several other languages. Only dutch and a few african languages have a similar word. Definition: Geborgenheit is the feeling and state of complete safety and sense of well-being. Itâs a mix of well-being, trust, acceptance, contentment, protection, security and love - often related to another loved person. Itâs the feeling of being in your mothers arms as a child while just letting go and feeling at home independent of where you are.
Sehnsucht - Sehnen = Longing, Yearning, Craving - Sucht = Addiction Translates to a certain form of heavy longing, yearning and craving - a type of intensely missing something/someone. Definition: It is difficult to translate as it is a very specific form of longing for something/someone. It comes from a deep emotional state you have for whatever you are longing for. Itâs the realisation of the unfinished and imperfect aspects of this life and this world with the longing for a better, an ideal, a perfect alternative. Often it is a mix of negative as well as positive emotions - a sense of desperation coupled with a sense of hope. Itâs the longing for a peaceful world, the craving to be again with your significiant other (even if you havenât met that one yet) and so on. Fun Fact: Itâs a word which is sometimes used in the realms of psychology internationally for a lack of alternative words describing this phenomena.
GlĂŒhbirne - GlĂŒh comes from GlĂŒhen = Glowing - Birne = Pear Definition: While the original name for a lightbulb is the âGlĂŒhlampeâ (Lampe = Lamp), a more common choice to use is the word âGlĂŒhbirneâ which trasnlates to a glowing pear as lamps used to be only pear-shaped. A few other languages use that description as well like Hungarian.
Fernweh - Fern = Distant / Far Away - Weh = Aching Definition: âFernwehâ is the opposite to Heimweh (Homesickness). Itâs the longing and craving to travel and explore the far away places. Unlike Wanderlust, a more positive associated word, though âFernwehâ involves a feeling of sadness often mixed with nostaliga that one feels when desperately longing for visiting foreign lands and experiencing foreign cultures while being incapable of doing so in that moment.
StaubfÀnger - Staub = Dust - FÀnger = Catcher Definition: It is an object, often used for decoration purposes and otherwise useless, which only serves to catch the floating dust around.
Entschlafen - Ent- = A grammatical form used at the start of verbs or nouns relating to a finish and/or ending. Originating from the word Ende which translates to ending. - Schlafen = Sleeping Definition: Itâs a somewhat archaic and poetic way of ssaying someone passed away. It would translate to âslept awayâ.
Kummerspeck - Kummer = Grief / Misery / Woe / Heartache - Speck = Bacon Definition: The word âSpeckâ can also be used to describe fat in german. A bit of a butt, the little waist fat one have and also to excessive and obese kind of fat. âKummerspeckâ is therefor the fat and weight one gains when eating more due to emotional distress.
Lebenslauf - Leben = Life - Lauf = Comes from the word âlaufenâ which translates to walking Definition: âLebenslaufâ describes your life resume for job applications and such and it translates to the path you walked in life in the past.
Lebensbejahend - Leben = Life - Ja = yes Definition: The word is used in a life-affirming way. Itâs the feeling of knowing how much beauty and pleasantness life has to offer. It literally translates to saying yes to life.
Zweisamkeit - Zwei = Two Definition: The word relates to âEinsamkeitâ (Eins = One) which translates into loneliness. âZweisamkeitâ is the opposite. It is being together with the very special loved one and only them. It is the feeling of you and him/her being in a bubble of only the two of you and nothing and no one else.
Himmelsrichtung - Himmel = Sky / Heaven - Richtung = Direction Definition: Germans call the cardinal directions literally â(the) skys directionâ
Seelenverwandt - Seele = Soul - Verwandt = Related only in the sense of related to family-members. Definition: The word âSeelenverwandtâ describes two people, or two souls, who might not be blood-related, but are two of a kind. Itâs not their blood which is related, but their souls. This can be a very close friendship as well as a romantic relationship. Two souls which were meant for each other.
Weltschmerz - Welt = World - Schmerz = Pain Definition: âWeltschmerzâ describes the pain, sometimes even apathy or depression, a person feels by comparing the actual state of the world with the ideal state. Itâs the optimist being hit by reality.
FremdschĂ€men - Fremd = Foreign / Alieniate / Strange - SchĂ€men = to feel shame / being embarrassed. Definition: Itâs the shame and embarrassment you feel for something a different person does.
