        “ ---- That would be a waste of a good butterknife. && the fact that people call you a psychopath really doesn’t make me  want to continue this conversation any more than it did a few moments ago. You seem  like  a complete   asshole   who  is  simply  finding amusement  in  goading  me  to  see  how  I react. ”

‘ Something like that. So do you like scary movies? ‘

‘ It depends on the movie. Most of the films now are just reliant on jump scares and gory effects. I like more psychological suspense movies, I guess. ’

             She had been waiting for her mother to come out from another audition for some television show that she was way too good for, nothing out of the ordinary. Just the average skimming through some school books or letting her gaze just wander as her mind drifted. She snapped back into reality the moment her gaze landed on the sight of blood on a stranger’s hands. Caution caused the girl’s senses to be on high alert as she tried to keep her demeanor even. “The closest is a twenty minute drive from here.”

“Well, let’s just hope troubles hadn’t followed you here. - Zoe sighed with a smile, then gestured for her to follow. - Come on, let’s get you inside.” she said, as she walked back towards Miss Robichaux Academy.

“Yeah, I don’t think that’s anything we would need to worry about.” Seeing as she had been the final girl and the only people who had come out of that screen had been her and her friends... wait, where were her friends? They had come out with her, hadn’t they? “There wouldn’t happen to be... four other people who wandered by here before me, were there?”

SHOULDERS SAG AS elbows hit the smooth countertop  of  the bar in front of her, forehead pressed into the palms of her hands. it was something that she had found herself doing,  bar  hopping after spending time trying to study, trying to preoccupy her mind from all of the shit that seemed to  swarm  in  her  subconscious, since THE ACCIDENT. at the bar,  Max  could  be  whoever  she wanted. there wasn’t a need for drinks, in fact she usually  found herself skipping the alcohol and just going to put  on  a  persona, be another person for a few  hours.  anything  to  keep  her  mind away from the dark recesses of her mind. it was the  closest  she would get to acting, but what she  did  came  naturally.  she  was her mother’s daughter after all.

“I mean, I don’t think I have much of a choice, do I?”  Gaze darted around their surroundings, ears perked for any sign of the familiar sound effect that had been haunting her subconscious since she had broken free from the double feature from hell. “Danger is kinda a normal thing for me recently.”
