A Life Of Submission

It asks Allah for strength every night.

And the worst part is that I cannot tell you to fight for me.

Yes, most of us will have said this at one time or another. It is sentence which makes you feel like you’re drowning. Helpless. But as a person with faith, you can also find a sense of surety, a flip side. The dunya is a horrible place.. indeed it can be.. but I am a Muslim. I know that this dunya is not meant to be a perfect place. I will find in it sadness, destruction and heartbreak. But this isn’t the final abode, I am to be a traveller in this dunya. A traveler who is witnessing the dunya without letting it into my heart, without letting it trap me into hopelessness. I am to find in it perspective: my purpose is much much greater, and that is my focus.

Tell all those who have delegated their affairs to Allāh: that Allāh will never fail them.
