Jimin can’t share a simple story about his military service or confirm Are You Sure Season 2 without being met with a literal storm of hate. Update accounts are going private, deleting posts, hiding things just to protect themselves, all because he talked. How is that fair?

And then fans who just want to discuss those moments get dragged too, instantly labeled as “shippers” or “delulus” or whatever. So everyone just stays quiet. Clips get deleted, translations disappear, and I end up missing entire parts of what he said because people are too scared to post them. It’s heartbreaking.

But then another member can post an IG story about the exact same song JK mentioned days ago, and suddenly it’s all fine. Update accounts can share it freely, no one goes private, no one deletes anything, and everyone’s just vibing. Like, how does that even make sense? The double standards are insane.

It’s honestly so depressing. I can’t even get normal updates about my bias anymore without scrolling through endless hate or realizing I’ve missed moments because they were ignored, untranslated, or quietly wiped away. It feels like Jimin can’t win no matter what he does. He breathes, and somehow it’s controversial.

Watching silently while everything has been going on has been a lot. So many times over the months I’ve written and deleted posts, not wanting to add to the negativity about how I've seen the fandom treat him. But this feels different. Seeing what’s happening with Jimin, my ultimate bias and the reason I even became a fan of BTS, has been heartbreaking, especially because none of this is due to anything he did. Watching fans use BigHit’s words as “confirmation” that he has a girlfriend, then celebrating the fact that Jimin is straight, has been disgusting. Regardless of whether that woman was or wasn’t his girlfriend (I’ll get to that), sexuality is fluid and exists on a spectrum. The homophobia I’ve seen from certain parts of the fandom has been shocking, though maybe I shouldn’t be surprised given how some people talk about Jikook.

Now about that woman. It blows my mind that people so easily accept the idea that she was dating Jimin, while completely ignoring her strange behavior over the years, especially her recent escalation, without questioning anything. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills myself, because this is someone who’s had repeated emotional breakdowns on live streams, once insinuated she was with JK, had men appear on her lives who later had to clarify they weren’t dating her after rumors spread, openly claimed she was dating Jimin only to come back and deny it, blaming others for “making up lies.” She claimed harassment from Jimin’s fans, had a group of shippers as paid subscribers on her lives begging for information about him to validate their ship, even though half of that ship was spotted in Paris holding hands with someone else. I could go on about that, but I won't.

It’s clear from her weird video that she had some access to Jimin about five years ago, whether romantically or just as a friend, and spent time around him. That’s not really the point though. The point is she has saved recordings of him. There’s no telling what else she has, and by posting those videos she’s signaled two things: one, she doesn’t care about making his life more difficult, and two, she isn’t afraid to post more in the future to prove a point. Knowing how difficult Jimin has said that time was for him, this feels especially exploitative.

The saddest part is that Jimin is an idol in an extremely conservative country, which makes it nearly impossible for him to push back strongly against her claims without exposing even more of his private life and risking her releasing more. His character is being defamed, with even more slanderous lies spreading to serve other people’s agendas, and very little seems to be done to stop it. Honestly, I don’t want to speculate too much further, but it all feels a little blackmailish.

And I definitely don’t understand how this somehow “confirms” the relationship status of Jikook, or why some fans are twisting this into blaming Jimin for “feeding fanservice.” Last I checked, Jimin wasn’t the one constantly posting about JK while fueling fans who say vile, disgusting things about another member.

What hurts the most, though, is remembering how happy Jimin seemed after his discharge. He was posting more on IG, looking youthful and unchanged, still his selfless and loving self despite everything he’s gone through in the military. So many details about this whole situation bother me, but what matters most is that Jimin feels supported and loved by people who don’t have ulterior motives, people who are simply there for him unconditionally.

I hope he takes as much time as he needs away from social media and the negativity, even from within his own fandom. More than anything, I want him to feel love from those who truly matter in his life and to be happy, so happy. To live however he wants, with whoever he wants, free from the stress of bad people trying to dim his light.

It's been a while since I last checked in on here! I finally have time to talk about what it's been like getting to know J. Hope and Jin since their release, and I have strong thoughts on jikook (which I'll save for the end). First, getting to know Jin and J. Hope through their work, weverse lives, and the content they've released so far has been so interesting. It's wild that I'm finally getting to watch their weverse lives in real-time, after only getting to know them through older content (for context I only became a fan of BTS after they were enlisted). In some ways, they are exactly how I thought they would be, and in some ways different than what I expected. The way they've both thrown themselves into their work immediately after discharge blew my mind. I just admire them both so much. Jin's album was amazing and perfectly showcased his vocals, Hobi's new song is coming this Friday and the soldout tour is about to be soooo incredible!!! I am so happy for all the fans who get to continue to support them and show up for them.

As for Jimin and Jungkook, I cannot believe all of the discourse that is surrounding their iHeart Music Award nomination for Are You Sure?!. If it was any other duo nominated for the content they excitedly put out, I feel like everyone would be much more positive and enthusiastic when it comes to voting and encouraging others to vote. Not to mention A LOT of fans just seem to be flat-out ignoring the nominations. These past few months I've also noticed the effort that so many in the fanbase seem to be putting into separating/cropping their signatures of things they've signed together, trying to debunk stories of the things they've been signing, or if both those things don't work they just ignore it. Hell Jungkook recently went live (which I seriously could not believe, I missed him sooooooooooo much) and he talked about how he and Jimin sing in the shower together or Jimin's post on weverse where he talked about the conversations he and JK had before going to bed and what kind of lives they plan to live in the future and fans got mad they dared to mention each other.

Seeing the differences in reactions when it comes to jikook shouldn't surprise me anymore and yet seeing all the continued pushback to anything jikook makes me disappointed. Even the BT21 account felt like they needed to issue an apology because the Chimmy and Cooky dolls were switched and put in each other's boxes and they received sooo much hate for it. I have no idea what it was like years ago when BTS were active together as a band and Jimin and JK would post things together, but is this what it's going to be like every time they mention each other or are seen together post military service? Threaten any official account that dares to mention jikook in the same sentence, or spam them with hate? Is this what it will be like moving forward?

*Sigh* I had every intention of coming on here and only raving about the Are You Sure?! Photobook I finally got in the mail last week. It's beautiful, the pictures look incredible, I love the feel of the actual pages of the book, I adore all of the additional stickers and extra pictures that you get outside of the photobook itself, all of the behind the scenes footage… I just truly love the quality and the care at which it was all put together. It really is incredible!! It was absolutely worth the money, but since coming back on here, now I'm feeling like I need to rant about something else.

I've said it before on one of my other posts but the hate on youtube towards anything having to do with Jimin and Jungkook's friendship is just so bad (as well as all the hate directed towards Jimin but that's for another time). Reactors (those that genuinely care for the boys and aren't just doing it to grow their channel so they start reacting to different content all together) who dare to react to Jikook's bond are being bombarded with lies, hate, and threats. I'm not going to name channels here, but I also personally think it's messed up for reactors (yes, multiple channels at this point) to openly admit that they will be deleting jikook content from their channel, while leaving up all the other ship/not ship content of all the other members. This happens frequently in the fandom. Fans and non fans aren't "allowed" to mention jikook so they go ignored despite all of their cute content together, reactors don't react to them, and if they do they get massively spammed with hate until they just stop reacting to them, but will continue reacting to other dynamics within BTS. And due to the lack of content, some new fans who are discovering the group don't even know about their friendship because everyone is afraid to talk about it (and it becomes easier unfortunately to be swept up in lies, false stories, and fan manipulation). The cycle just repeats and repeats and repeats.

But what is the end goal, because Jimin and Jungkook will be discharged from the military together, will continue to be in BTS together, in each other's lives, and continue to travel and do things together, so what is the point? People may get reactors to pretend like the bond between Jimin and JK doesn't exist, but no matter how much these awful people try, it's definitely NOT going to effect Jikook's relationship in real life, soooo?? All of this negative discourse will not affect any Jikook interactions in the future when BTS reunites. Hell just the other day Jimin and Jungkook were on weverse replying to each other (even though they were probably next to each other lol) being excited for Hobi's discharge, while their haters screamed about Jimin wanting attention. Jimin and JK are going to do what they want to do, like they've always done, and yelling at random people on the internet to get them to delete their content won't change that 😭.

This is how they manipulate things in edits and that's why they fear original content or full clips or clips with subtitles. They even made a edit out of jimin clicking picture of jungkook when jungkook does that "apologize to me face" to jimin and they cut out jimin from the frame and used one sec of tae doing hand gestures to say "what kdrama is it" and spread that like wildfire everywhere with thousands of likes. There's no level of desperation for Tkkrs honestly

Point is we wouldn't have known if jimin wasn't giving "Context" as to why he wasn't eating and we all thought he wasn't eating because he got an upset stomach or because of his motion sickness or something.

And just because they both usually don't post their hangouts many take that as them never meeting and seeing each other. Quite honestly they both are at least at this point are home buddies who enjoy their time staying home talking endlessly than go outside and do stuff. Not like they don't enjoy going outside and doing activities they do and need it from time to time(as they did some activities in AYS but it was still mostly them eating and talking) but their dynamics is more about staying in each other's presence and just talking and doing stuff at home. They don't always need activities to hangout together they can simply stay over at each other's home and that's just them. In 2021 jimin, jungkook and one of jimin's friends were seen at a restaurant having a meal and it was actually white day (14th March and it's like a sequel of valentine's day in Korea and couples celebrate this day together, not saying jkk were doing that could be a coincidence because jm usually doesn't give much importance to these days idk about jk tho). When in BTS's doc jk came over at jm's home and cooked food it was their last day of concert at Seoul (as per the date on jm's fridge so it was 13/3/2022 smtg) and jikook were seen on 14/3/2022 and jk was even wearing jm's custom made hat so pretty much jungkook had a sleepover at jm's home but of course they never mentioned it. Given jungkook was even wearing jm's custom made hat I'm assuming he stayed over at jimin's as he was at jm's home late at night after the concert so probably best to stay and then they were out again on 14/03/2022.

I remember how in that vmk live when jimin said jungkook goes to jimin's room 3 times a day, he stays there for even 4 hrs on some time. Jungkook said he goes to jm because he gets bored and jm's room is close (as if other members were living in another building 😂). And since jungkook said he goes there because he gets bored you'd expect him to do stuff with members to get rid of the boredom but jimin revealed that jungkook doesn't do anything when he comes to jimin's room. He stays in jimin's bed for hrs and then leaves. Jungkook even goes to jimin's room at 2AM at odd times. You'd expect him to go to different different members so he could do some fun activities but nope staying in jimin's room doing nothing itself is pleasant to him that he doesn't need much other entertainment(most of the time of course).

But losers on the internet will tell you they don't post so they don't meet and if jikook does mention then they're lying for fanservice lol.

Sucks that there is zero context for that picture of Jimin's name being written in sunscreen on JK's chest. Seeing how there was a short scene (was it episode 5?) of Jimin and JK playing with the sunscreen on their faces, I will just go ahead and assume that the same thing was happening behind the scenes in that picture too. If Jimin wanted to claim his man, who could blame him lol. I find it way more fascinating that most of the armys that are so quick to post shirtless pictures of JK, somehow did not get around to posting the one with Jimin's name on his chest. 🤔

And speaking of Tae. Those two clips, specifically the one with Jimin explaining how Tae suddenly joined the trip says so much tbh. I think it was sweet that Jimin at first tried to smooth it over by saying he knew Tae was busy with his solo activities and him not extending an invitation was not done intentionally (although um, I kinda think they did it on purpose, but won't get into that). Jimin specifically mentions asking the other members to come saying they were welcome, which weird because Namjoon would've been the only other member not enlisted at the time, so maybe that's what he meant? IDK, but if we follow their timeline, Tae found out two days before by seeing it on the group schedule/calendar, Jimin spent the night before Jeju at JK's house, and then all three came on the trip. I wonder if Jimin broke the news to JK during their sleepover that Tae was joining them haha. Also interesting that Tae specifically mentions being hurt by Jimin and doesn't say anything about JK, who is just kinda sitting there quietly not saying anything. I could read more into that, but I won't. 😅

If I had to guess, I would say I don't think Tae knew what show he was signing up for lol, hence why he asked why Namjoon didn't also come during dinner. He probably only saw that they were filming a show in one of his favorite places, didn't ask any questions about what the show was since he just wanted to be included, and just insisted on coming by calling up Jimin and saying he didn't want to be left out. Reality probably hit him once he was there what the vibes were (a lot of him feeling like a third wheel), which would explain him being on his phone a lot and going to play golf. Tae was probably grateful for the time they all spent together and the memories, but was very much over it by the end, and in his words was just trying to get to the plane 😭. Which I wouldn't blame him, it would probably be very annoying to be around two people with so many inside jokes and who talk in memes constantly lmao.

He used to be the most active member and now he's the most inactive member 😔 many says it's because of the increased hate and all, i remember how he was also the only member who was asked to address about "death threats" in a conference. He handled the question gracefully but they shouldn't have asked him such a question and in all these years he was the only one who was asked to address such a question although no member deserves to address such a thing. It could be the hate, it could be an age thing like how with age u don't find doing those things more interesting or it could be both but we're now at a point we had to wait for someone else to update about him 🥺 when he went through a appendix surgery and got COVID positive at the same time during 2022 we literally would wait hobi to update us about him cause hobi was the first one to update about him when BTS were shooting together for an ad or something. Now he's in the military and he takes these things very seriously so obviously there will be very less updates than 2023 although he was way too inactive in 2022. He's been less active since like 2019 or something or maybe 2018.

Past jm fans wouldn't believe it's the same jimin who used to give updates about other members now we get his updates through other members 😞 but it's also good that he's away from all the bs and only gets to see all the love ppl has for him when he meets them. It's jimin's b'day month so now there would be soo many b'day projects for him.

His b'days causes such a big crowd around his dad's cafe in his hometown or just in general his hometown that last year the news was reporting that they're considering hiring more security for his b'day. Hope he sees his b'day projects, he addresses many b'day projects before as well. just want him to witness this year too and if possible hope he gets a vacation.

The review was really nice to read. it's always good to read things from other people's perceptions.

Now about your complaint you're not the only one tho, i have read another jk biased person's review and they said the same thing, many people said the same thing during BTS's doc last year. I really don't get the point of doc if you're not going to give some in depth details of how the album is made like what was the thought process, how did you chose the songs, how you came up with this that like there's so many things to talk about but BH/HYBE don't know how to do that.

With the recent work done by hybe i really feel like they just do it as if it's last min work cause they know fans will be there to support no matter what. The editing for shows, the art for albums, the concepts literally all of it is half ass work for everyone. It's like u grow big and you stop giving fks about things. this is for hybe tho not members.

Thank you for this! One thing I forgot to mention that was extremely noticeable was when JK would talk about the fans he would always refer to them as army, and "we" and "us". You could absolutely feel his connection to BTS, his members as one team, and to the fans. It is something he felt deeply about, and that really, really came across.

In terms of what you said, "...in depth details of how the album is made like what was the thought process, how did you chose the songs, how you came up with this that like there's so many things to talk about", I watched an interview BangPD gave a while ago and he pretty much explained a little behind the scenes info on the making of the album and how scooter played a major role in getting the songs and a&r. Maybe that's why none of that was included. It did cross my mind after I posted the review that maybe it's also because so much of who JK is as a person is in large part due to BTS and his members that they didn't want to get too much into that because this documentary was solely focused on him as a solo artist. But it would have been awesome to hear from some of the other staff who were with JK on his journey, who clearly adore him and were always with him.

JK is so ridiculously talented. I'm sure it was already obvious. but seeing him in the studio, recording his first album, was amazing. He has such a unique ear for music, and it was impressive to hear him in the studio with his English-speaking producers in the U.S. JK repeatedly talked about how nervous he was whenever he was doing something new, and the astounding thing is you could never tell. His nervousness never showed. He was always delivering at such a high level, that you could never tell in any of his performances. Hearing his luscious vocals and tone in surround sound in a loud theater was worth the price of admission alone.

From sitting alone on his couch watching jimin's content that too every single content that would drop to Sitting on a couch WITH JIMIN and watching THEIR content together....we have come a long way 🥹

I don't even know if I can even put into words what I'm feeling after watching the last episode of Are You Sure. Grateful? Devastated? Sad? Overjoyed? None of those words do justice to my emotions and overall feelings.

What a beautiful way to end this first season. We really got to witness just how much Jimin and Jungkook mean to each other, and it really made it clear to me why they chose to enlist together and not be separated. I can't believe we as fans got to spend such a precious amount of time with jikook right before the start of their military service.

There were so many moments during this last episode that made me emotional. Jimin tearing up on his way to wake Jungkook up on their last day, Jungkook (who we've seen repeatedly enjoying his love for beer) choosing not to drink so that he could drive them to the airport (and have that alone time), jikook reacting to the first episode of AYS and laughing so hard (to the point that Jungkook had to keep wiping the tears from his eyes🥹), Jungkook trying to cheer Jimin up on that last day, Jungkook saying that these trips with Jimin were the best of his entire life 😭, and even the subtle touches. 😩

The car rides. They got to spend so much of their time in the car driving just the two of them since they were constantly saying out loud just how long their drives were, but we only got to see a few minutes of it. I love so much that they had that time just the two of them.

Jimin's absolute love for Standing Next to You is so amazing to see (and also understandable lol). He sings it in almost every episode. It says something about Jimin as a person that he is so selflessly supportive.

Jimin at the end talking about how impactful their trips were to him and how they made him appreciate things like this again. Jungkook wanting to go back to the first day of their trip 🥺. Like Are You Sure meant so much to both of them they even included a clip of them saying their phrase "Are You Sure" on enlistment day 😭.
