Once they left, Kori made an awful attempt to climb over the back of the couch and slide into the seats previously occupied by Jewels and Suzie. Kori clamored, landing with a thump and nearly spilling her Twisted Tea. Lydia flinched as amber drops of liquid sloshed slightly out of the open can in her direction.

She laughed once Kori landed, and leaned forward just a bit. “You’re so wasted.”

“Nuh-uh. I’m always this good at parkour.”

“Doubtful.”

“Excuse me, I’d like to see you try some of our lax training drills. Those are basically parkour. But with less, like, back-flippy shit.”
