So I've begun the process of having folks critically beta-read my fanfic Frozen: Sacrifice and Forgiveness [ @frozen-saf ], and it's made me reflect on how my other Frozen fan-work - this screenplay - needs more tweaking. I'm not entirely sure exactly what I'd change or how I'd change it. I'm just mulling it over at this point.

The problems I've noticed so far...

The story feels a little too Hans-heavy to be a realistic Frozen 2 script. Somehow I have to get some of the focus off him but still keep a believable redemption. I think part of that would be editing the inside-Hans'-mind mirror sequence [part 21], either shortening it or relegating it to the "Deleted Scenes" reel altogether. But then I'd have to figure out how to rework that entire scene (and some of the other scenes that link to it).

While I like that I used the Roveros indirectly to contribute to Hans' changes, their story being narrated by Brogan [part 11] is kind of boring (even if a theoretical movie would have visuals with it). At the very least, their story could be trimmed.

I'd need some serious Heaven-sent inspiration to write anything resembling the five or so songs a Disney animated feature should have. Brogan's narration about the Roveros would be more interesting if it was a song (especially if the chorus was about love, forgiveness, sacrificing to help others, etc.). A hero-villain duet would probably spice up Elsa and Zuri's fight [part 23]. Early Act II could use a song, and perhaps early Act III, something about their quest and traveling (with Olaf as the main vocals for one song).

It’s been said by at least one Disney employee that Olaf’s Frozen Adventure directly ties in to Frozen 2. If there’s any hint of that in OFA, I may consider reworking Frozen: Fire and Fury to fit whatever is revealed to us. Although, the connection(s) may not be noticeable until the Frozen 2 screenplay is released or the movie premiers. I guess I’ll have to wait and see on that.

Frozen: Fire and Fury is finally done!

It’s now a fully-written script, instead of the script/outline combination. The only thing that would make it 100% complete is some songs, but since I’m a rather terrible songwriter, I had to forgo those.

For those of you who've already read the previous revamped outline/script (thank you!), I strongly encourage another read. All of the spots that were summaries are now scripted (most notably part 2 and part 14), and nearly every part has had some sort of update to it.

Don’t forget to take a look at the character profiles! Zuri and Subira just got some new art. My next project will be getting more art and profiles up for all the characters (when I’m not working on Frozen: Sacrifice and Forgiveness).
