It’s not the same

I miss when people could see something they don’t particularly enjoy (but is morally fine) and just, scroll on by.

The reactions i see people have to others shipping charlie and zoey (his canon gf btw?) for example is ABSURD (and i think it goes back to the classic women hating fujoshi stereotype BUT thats beside the point) like people act like theyre being personally attacked by that thing existing

Id say maybe its because i’m older and have been on tumblr for a longass time but many of those fans are older than i am or around my age.

I just feel like some people don’t interact with SF in a healthy way. It’s genuinely concerning for peoples mental health when i see them freak out over things that they coulda just scrolled past

Saying nothing is free and easy.

Tumblrs always had fandoms like this but i dont remember ever seeing it to this degree and i was a fucking HOMESTUCK in the height of its popularity. The chronically online behavior makes me rlly worried for how people are going to hurt their own mental health and possibly relationships with others in real life

If this is based on the post where i said idc about ships, i do enjoy talking about them in a character exploration sort of way. I just dont enjoy how ship centric the fandom can be. I mean there are ppl who solely watch eps to see if theres any hint of charpim. Not to watch the ep and enjoy it. Just for their ship.

Lemme clarify.

ROMANTIC chemistry. I think theyre friends but i also feel like it’s a very one sided relationship where pim thinks charlie is his bestie and charlie just. Sees him as a friend/coworker. There’s nothing wrong w that.

I just dont see anything there more than how charlie sees pim. I think pim cares very deeply abt charlie and unfortunately its just. One sided.

If they were romantically involved w each other i think pim would be miserable. Pim is a lil guy full of endless love and whimsy and he deserves someone that can match that energy. Charlie just can’t match that.

Not particularly. I think its more probable than charpim (because its literally canon). someone once said that Charlie and Zoey’s dynamic is like two ppl who have been together for a really long time and are very comfortable with each other.

I don’t really like it personally because ive had personal experiences where i was like Zoey and it sucked ass (but also thats based on my assumptions on how the relationship is apart from the three clips we get of zoey)

But i dont mind it at all. I like zoey a lot and it sucks that the same fandom that claws at the wall talking abt how zach and michael cant write women also easily fall into the cesspool of misogyny just because of ✨the yaois✨

Charlie could straight up have sex with Zoey on a table in the middle of the goddamned smiling friends breakroom and people would say it was performative and 'she's his beard.'
