Okay I was really proud of this one so im posting it, this was my first time with fire alpaca and tryinf a lot of the brushes and shit i eyeballed the skin tones so do forgive me if I messed them up as I was just focused on the eyes

To preface, I think he was like 15 or so when kicked out and hes 2-3 years younger than paige

(Clarke is adopted last name me and my gf use for paige)

And context for the last panel is with a previous post abt paiges left eye

I think they had a great relationship when younger but he grew more and more rebellious and causing more and more problems so they drifted, the harder she tried to help and protect him, the angrier he got, he wasnt as good with his magic and grew to be resentful she had such talent and yet only used it in defense, never attack or honed that, she could be unstoppable but she never wanted to be and he was envious

Mainly got this idea from how in game a lot of her models her left eye seems off/more drooping to me, however IN game I havent noticed the same

100000% this is coincidence but I am going to run with it because I think its cool and adds more flavor, let me show what im talking about and then share my hc about what happened

Mainly her title card it looks off to me, 100% could be stylistic, and im well aware im crazy and just yapping

I also think its neat though she covers and becomes defensive of her left eye wirh her crit portrait but as mentioned in game its not As apparent same with her gloat

More about Ptosis/Drooping eye and why I think this could add some good depth and also more about Bryce

So I think its more specifically mild, I tried sketching but it looks.more to moderate here but anyways, it can be temporary or permanent and can be caused from injuries to the eye/eyelid

My specific hc im thinking is how this ties with Bryce is she got injured protecting him after he was getting into danger and also getting damage to her vision (so enforcing needing bigger glasses) probably got more injuries but they were minor in comparison. Eye/Head injuries can be super scary especially back then even if they have magic, you never know what might happen or long term affects.

With what we know of Bryce and this idea in mind, I'm thinking he got angry more at Paige for stepping in and being an "overbearing" big sister when he wouldve gotten his ass whooped, but this was becoming to show a problem and Bryce wasnt only endangering himself but now Paige and instead of remorse or changing ways, more upset at her for being selfless and trying to protect him and a big factor to why they kicked him out.

She wouldn't regret protecting Bryce even at the cost of her vision being worse and now more flinching to anything that moves near her left eye. Most likely blame it only occurring because somewhere she thinks she messed up and its her fault he turned out this way even if it somehow it was shown to her by the patrons she couldn't have stopped it, I think shed still blame for not doing more.

I have so many thoughts on how mina has been kinda doomed from the start in the sense of so many burdens as the only child in a rich household and being a girl as well, however deadlock is shown to be a whole lot more progressive than our universe and such, its very much noted by paige of all people in her kill lines with mina that she "wasnt raised right" and has deep insecurities and I think it was sown into her from her parents

"But ana she was extremely spoiled!" yes and hear me out though, we dont know how long she was engaged to marry pocket, it couldve been from the start and her whole life was centered and catered to be married, it was the goal and pressure, her worth and importance, she was spoiled because she was to be a fairfax one day so of course they must prepare her for that and introduce her to such luxury from the start and the pressure to be the best

So of course she blames pocket so bad for them ruining her life because she was stuck on their railroad from day one and just when it was in sight of the station to get off, it explodes and its not pockets fault for being assassinated but whatever mina is gonna blame them

And j realized ive severely side tracked from the au but anyways I will elaborate more on au anf maybe me thoughts of mina and how shes been ruined from day one but anyways its almost 2 am again, I should sleep lmao
