ngl, i have multiple styles ❤︎ i kind of just dress how i want however i feel during that day! (diva/vixen being one of my mains, after all i do call myself diva, on my main social medias + also have a blog dedicated to being one @divasire) so i say just do whatever you’re feeling, never feel the need to commit to one! the video vixen style/genre is actually apart of black culture so there’s kind of a connection! although the prissy girl aesthetic is a bit more “classy” & i’d say cool toned, it’s still possible to merge the styles! just focus on color schemes & accessories like frilly socks, bangles, bamboo hoops, gold jewelry, ballies/hair beads, waist chains, etc! feel free to look at the noir gyal guides & fitspo!!!! i’m american, but found out later i have ancestry of nigeria & congo, so i’m more familiar with my american side, which is my version of noir gyal, I’m very much still learning the other parts of me in that aspect! the term “gyal” is also used in southern african american/african american households (my household) aswell, which was the inspo for that part too! noir gyal represents/includes all cultures of black. after all, it is a black movement/style! it’s meant to be diverse, just like black culture, as a whole is. all love for every single black person over here, regardless of the nationality/ethnicity, complexion, sexuality or wtv. black is black. noir gyal is BLACK!!!! ❤︎

noir gyal is diverse, black culture is very diverse, my own version of noir gyal is curated by/to me! the guides, & essentials I discuss about, is just the layout for others & they can stop from there or take inspo & add their own little spin to it, to make it more them! that’s what makes it more fun, & unique, because it’s not as strict as other styles/things, which I find limited, boring & superficial. it’s more than just an aesthetic though, Its a lifestyle, it’s our culture, a culture of multiple & a point, that even with being black, we can very much still be feminine/hyperfeminine while still embracing our blackness & culture. It’s a reminder that we DON’T have to fit society standards, or any others, just to be seen as “feminine.” stereotypical “hyperfeminine” styles are never really catered or welcoming to us, so noir gyal is it’s own category, & the category is black. feminine & black. we are, our own category & noir gyal just highlights that, in a nostalgic & black feminine way. noir gyal & my whole account is a safe place & where most can relate! thanks for asking! ❤︎ ❤︎ ❤︎ ❤︎
