I feel like everyone lowkey ignored shoto's own suffering way too much.... and I think a lot of it is because like Rei called shoto the family's "hero"
And... like Ochako keeps asking throughout both war arcs.... "When the hero is suffering, who saves them?"
Shoto was burdened by his position as the "hero." Even among his own family.
I just made this connection RANDOMLY and its making me emotional now because poor Shoto. He helped his family but no one from his family truely helped him (at least from what we see) he didnt even get a hug.
He as the youngest was burdened by his position as the family's 'hero'
...on the other hand it truely speaks about how amazing Shoto is as a character and a hero. He is thoughtful, kind, forgiving and empathetic and its a shame no one was there to help him after the war like he helped his family...
I am greatful he was able to heal as an adult tho.
uh uhh this was the only way i could think of to share my oc art 😳
this is patiro! i redesigned them recently to better represent lore stuff :]
but that was with my finger on my phone so i drew them properly (with someone else's oc)
our characters eyes would match but swapped if you went with the heterochromia! so i'm biased lol
Its fine! I am the one that asked you! The art looks amazing, our ocs DO match actually and more so than you think! Lol. Erumi's hair turns part blue after the war! And the heterchromia looka good on your. Do show me more of your art if you have more!

07 || U.A Entrance Exam? Go Esuna!
8: 45 A.M
Just fifteen minutes.
Fifteen minutes away from the entrance exam. Students gathered around, stepping forward, their voices overlapping... loud and energetic.
She took one step, eyes glittering with anticipation. The young teenager stood in front of her dream school, the blue gate towering in front of her, "It's finally time," her hand rose, she rested it on her chest, feeling every pulse, every unsteady beat. Her fingers curled up before she let out a deep breath.
This was it... the day Esuna had been waiting for.
She stood in front of U.A High, the very school she had dreamt of attending since she was a child, the building towering over her.
U.A High School's hero course: a training program for those aiming to acquire the qualifications required to become pro heroes. Amongst similar schools across the country, theirs is the most popular and competitive, with an acceptance rate of less than 1 in 300 each year. Esuna was about to take the entrance exam for such a school.
It already has a small acceptance rate. Even now, they have not lowered their standards. However, a new system was implemented, allowing twice as many applicants to register for this year's exam.
With over 20,000 to 40,000 applicants alone this year, Esuna knew things wouldn't be easy.
"I wonder why... they took so many applications this year..." Esuna mumbled, her eyes lingering on the blue gate a moment too long. She stepped forward, bracing herself for what was to come.
"Probably due to the rising crime rate, no?" A serene, gentle voice replied. "Best way to give people a chance without lowering their criteria. More people took part in the recommendation exam as well."
Esuna turned her head and stopped in her tracks, her whole body freezing mid-movement. "What are you doing here?"
"Isn't it obvious? I am here for you," Erumi replied plainly, expression unchanged. "What kind of childhood friend would I be if I didn't cheer for you today of all days...." She mumbled before shaking her head, "You'd better pass." She turned her attention back to her redheaded friend.
"Naturally~" Esuna smirked, "Failing isn't a word in my vocabulary. Besides, I can't let you start your first year here all by your lonesome~"
"On second thought... Yeah, please fail," Erumi retorted, face blank as she stared back at her, her patience already thinning. "I would rather have peace and quiet instead of your annoying presence."
"Aww, how could you, Ru!" Esuna gasped dramatically, placing a hand on her chest, her eyes glistening with fake tears. "I am your best friend, your sister, the fire to your ice...!"
"...And a persistent irritation." Erumi glanced at her friend, unimpressed.
"I can't help it, you're just so fun to tease and annoy," Esuna smirked, her violet eyes glinting with mischief. "So get used to it, because I will keep irritating you all throughout high school, during your college years, and EVEN when you're an old lady with her own grandkids~"
"Do you really want to be turned into an ice sculpture that badly?" Erumi inquired, her words sharp.
Esuna chuckled, her eyes softening, " So...not going to give me some encouraging words? Cheer me up? Give me some sort of lucky charm before the exam for good luck?"
"No," Erumi stated, pushing her long hair away from her face, "I have nothing of that sort."
"Zero?" Esuna just stared at Erumi.
"Zilch," Erumi looked her friend in the eyes, brushing the wind with her hand.
"Nada?" Esuna blinked, once.... Then Twice.
"Nada," Erumi nodded once, her eyes unblinking.
"Nothing at all? Not even anything silly?"
"Nothing," Erumi confirmed, "I don't believe in such nonsensical stuff like 'good luck charms' and whatnot to begin with, and I would be concerned if you did."
Her lips parted for a moment, but no words came. Esuna closed her eyes and let out a huff, "That's so like you, Ru..." She let out a small, light chuckle, "But you know, at times like this, the best friend should say a word or two of encouragement at least."
"It's not my style," Erumi pointed out. In that moment, she looked her in the eyes, "Besides, you don't need it. Now go."
She stared at Erumi, startled for a moment before she closed her eyes, "Jeez... what a demanding friend I have...." She mumbled, turning around, "Even your encouragement is like a command."
Erumi gave a half-wave, her thoughts drifting as Esuna went inside, her head held high. She heard the sound of hushed voices, too loud and chaotic for her liking. When she spun on her heel, she spotted a certain green-haired kid, "That's the same guy..." She mumbled, "The weak weirdo from the beach...." She silently observed him from a distance.
Midoriya shook his head and looked in front of him, 'Remember... these past ten months!' His body trembled, 'Take the first step... to become a hero!' With conviction, he took one step and immediately tripped over his own shoes. He started falling forward, 'Or I'll just die-' The ground moved closer and closer, the concrete rushing to meet his face..... suddenly, his body froze in place, it floated mid-fall.
"What an embarrassing start...." Erumi mumbled, her face blank as she watched from a distance. In front of all those examinees, Midoriya had nearly faceplanted in a spectacular fashion, having an abysmal debut. She took a glance over the brunette who rescued Midoriya from a mortifying, humiliating tumble. 'Some kind of gravity-type quirk? Or a floating quirk?' She wondered, watching as the bubbly girl released her quirk and clapped her hands together. 'Since he can move, it's not a time or immobilization quirk...' as the girl stopped talking to Midoriya and walked inside, erumi shook her head. 'Well, not like its importan-'
"Oh, Oh... OHHHHH!" Midoriya yelled abruptly.
'....Weirdo,' Erumi thought, looking at the excited Midoriya before walking away, the wind ruffling her white strands, she pushed them back.
The curly-haired boy shook his head, took a deep breath, and started moving as well. They passed each other as the wind brushed past them.

Esuna glanced around the large auditorium, taking in everything around her. Adrenaline already pumping in her veins.
The lights turned on, illuminating the stage,
speakers powered up as a tall, slim man with blonde hair stepped onto the stage, his hair spiked up in an unnatural hairstyle. "For all you examinee Listeners tuning in, welcome to my show today! Everybody says Hey!" He yelled out, putting his hand next to his ear to listen, but there was only utter, suffocating silence. Esuna glanced at her surroundings and the other participants. "What a refined response," The man shrugged, "Then I'll quickly present to you the rundown on the practical exam! ARE YOU READY?! YEAH!"
Once again, the audience didn't respond; the silence dragged on uncomfortably.
'You have my sincerest sympathies, present mic....' Esuna closed her eyes, pressing her palms together, 'Your courage shall not be forgotten.'
It was beyond her how anyone could possibly recover from this.
"As it says in the application requirements, you listeners will be conducting a ten-minute mock urban battle after this! You can bring whatever you want with you. After the presentation, you'll head to the specified battle center, okay? Okay?!" He explained. The screen behind him lighting up with the very same details.
'I can't wait...!' Esuna smirked, gripping her hand. She glanced down, her eyes scanning the paper, 'Test Location: Battle center A....this will be a blast!' Her hand trembled, but she grabbed onto it, 'Ah....! I can barely remain steady...! I am so excited! Time to get that number one spot!'
She would not, in fact, get that number one spot.
"Three different types of faux villains are stationed in each battle center. You earn points for each of them based on their level of difficulty. Your goal, dear listeners, is to use your Quirks to earn points by immobilizing the faux villains. Of course, attacking other examinees and any other unheroic actions are prohibited!" Mic explained, pointing forward.
'Hmm... that's easy enough,' She closed her eyes for a bit only to freeze, 'Wait....three...?' She glanced at the sheet of paper in her hand, checking its contents.
"May I ask a question?" one of the examinees got up and raised one arm.
"Okay!" as Present Mic replied, the lights turned on above the blue-haired participant.
"On the printout, there are four types of Villains. If that's a misprint, then U.A, the most prominent school in Japan, should be ashamed of that foolish mistake!" The boy with glasses pointed at the paper, "We examinees are here in this place because we wish to be molded into exemplary heroes!" He yelled out, then turned around and pointed behind him, specifically at a certain green-haired teenager, "in addition, you over there with the curly hair-"
Midoriya pointed at himself in confusion.
"You've been muttering this whole time. It's Distracting! If you are here on a pleasure trip, then you should leave immediately!" The blue-haired boy glared; sharp light reflected off his glasses.
"I'm sorry...." Midoriya muttered, his face flushed in humiliation, he covered his mouth.
'Agh....seriously? That was uncalled for....' Esuna narrowed her eyes, 'Poor kid....' She took a brief glance at Midoriya, the crowd laughing and giggling at his expense.
"Okay, okay, examinee Number 7111, thank you for the great message! The fourth type of villain is worth zero points. That guy's an obstacle, so to speak. There's one in every battle center, an obstacle that will go crazy in narrow spaces. It's not impossible to defeat, but there's no reason to defeat it, either. I recommend that you listeners try to avoid it."
'Huh... that can't be right,' Esuna thought, her eyes glancing down at the paper, 'Then why is it in the exam... just as a distraction... ehh maybe I am overthinking things,' she shook her head, 'Ignore it, Esuna! Present Mic said to avoid it!' Esuna clenched her fist, eyes sparkling with fiery enthusiasm, ignoring Present mic as he blabbered on, 'Ah....! I am finally here, I can't wait to ace this practical exam!'
The young redhead would soon find out just how harsh and disappointing reality could be.
"Go beyond, plus ultra!" Present Mic yelled out, his hands raised up in the air. "Now, everyone. Good luck suffering!"
✧⋆·········⋆✧༺𓆩❄️𓆪༻✧⋆·········⋆✧
"Impressive," Esuna looked at the huge battle center in front of her, "It's Huge, as expected of U.A," Her eyes lit up with excitement, hands trembling, a huge smirk on her face. Esuna closed her eyes and took a prolonged, deep breath, her smile slowly vanishing.
'Okay, Esuna.... Time to focus....'
After a while, Esuna opened her eyes and started adjusting her sleeve. Her eyes focused, she slowly watched the gates open inch by inch.
"Okay, start! Come on, don't dilly-dally around!" A sharp, feminine voice rang out, ripping the silence in half, "Move it!" The teacher stood atop one of the buildings.
As everyone's attention shifted towards the woman, a loud blast erupted on cue, sparks igniting in the distance. At the same time, Esuna moved, her legs carrying her forward as she ran. She scanned her surroundings and took a sharp turn, in front of her stood four robots: two 3-point robots, a smaller one with a two written on it, and the last was a one-pointer.
Esuna jumped forward, spinning around in mid-air, sparks of flame flying around her. With rapid, continuous kicks, she sent blasts of dark fire towards the machines and landed on the ground, her legs slamming into the concrete.
"Ha! Easy," she swatted the smoke with her hand and kept moving, picking up the pace, "9 points in no time!" She spun around on her heel, pivoting to her left before walking forward. She made a fist, the raging fire engulfing her fist, and punched a three-pointer just as it emerged. Her fists slamming against it at full force. She kept running as it exploded in the distance, "12."
The smoke billowed behind her, legs moving forward, a smirk plastered on her face as her hair swayed back and forth, Piece of cake," her eyes trailed towards the streets, glancing between the roads, 'It would be easier if I could survey the area from a high point however...' as she reached an intersection she suddenly stopped, pushing her body forward, in an instant she jerked backwards, barely dodging by a step, the robot's arms sweeping past her.
"Target acquired, D-"
With a grin, she twirled around, slashing the air with her legs. An arc of black flames cutting it in half before it exploded into smithereens. 'The time is too limited for that.' She finished.
✧⋆·········⋆✧༺𓆩❄️𓆪༻✧⋆·········⋆✧
Teachers watched the flickering monitors, observing the potential hero students in combat, their critical eyes assessing them sternly. Each of them is a hero in their own right, judging the next generation of heroes, the future of Japan.
"There are plenty of promising candidates this year," one of them, a man with brown hair, finally blurted out, his eyes traveling from screen to screen.
"Indeed," A woman nodded in acknowledgement, one hand positioned on her chin, "The faux villains in area A are getting dissimilated by two particular candidates. "Examinee number 2233, Bakugou Katsuki, and Examinee number 2188 Esuna Kurotsu."
"They are brute forcing their way through, no hesitation, no reluctance. Just pure firepower and quick judgement," The previous teacher nodded in agreement, "Each of them has a strong quirk, suitable for this particular test, maybe too suitable in fact.'
"The others in Area B aren't that bad either," The woman shifted her attention to another monitor, watching as a girl with long violet hair planted her foot into the ground, launching herself into the air, swirling in the air. Mid-rotation, her hand touched the robot for a fraction of a second, clumps of crystal forming beneath her hand, she used it to accelerate her spin before landing behind the robot. "Examinee 3232.... Her quirk isn't powerful, but it's perfect for immobilizing the targets. She is agile and quick, a skilled martial artist from the way she fights."
They shifted their attention from one monitor to the other. One screen displayed a girl with blue hair, the faux villains surrounding her. She tightened her fist and took a deep breath. With a decisive moment, she pressed her hand downwards, watching as the robotic machines crumbled to the ground, their metallic shells getting smashed by pressure, flattening to the ground.
Another screen flickered in the distance, a girl with short curly pink hair and blue eyes, touched her own arms, blue marks appearing on her hand as she punched one of the faux villains.
"This year will be interesting for sure," a figure in the distance muttered, watching alongside the other teachers.
✧⋆·········⋆✧༺𓆩❄️𓆪༻✧⋆·········⋆✧
A blond figure moved through the streets, his crimson red eyes lighting up with sadistic joy and aggression. He sped up, picking up the momentum, sparks flew out of his palms, each one exploding in the air.
He spotted a faux villain, a one-pointer storming towards the ash-blond examinee. He smirked, his eyes filled with pure glee and excitement, "Another point for the taking...!" He yelled out, voice ringing, his legs pushing ahead. "Die, you oversized tin can!" he raised his hand forward, sparks hissing in his palms, and jumped.
A delicate palm made contact with the metallic armour, dark sparks igniting, hissing loudly, and boom. The loud sound of an explosion erupted, smoke rising into the air.
"What the-" Bakugou's body got engulfed in the dark smoke.
With a whoosh of their hands, Esuna and Bakugou pushed it aside, bolting forward.
"You point-stealing parasite...!" Bakugou yelled, sparks of rage flowing from his hands, his eyes locking onto the red-headed girl, glaring daggers into her, he kept walking toe to toe with Esuna.
"Oops...sorry, it was an accident," Esuna gave an apologetic smile, clapping her hands together, "Stuff like that happens... but hey, it's just a one-pointer anyw-"
"Accident my ass!" Bakugou interrupted, fuming with rage, his eyebrows twitching, the golden sparks getting louder and stronger, specks flying everywhere. "Get out of my way, you damn thieving NPC...!"
"N-NPC?!" For a split second, she froze, white with pure shock and bewilderment, her color draining. As she shook her head, a vein ticked in her forehead, her smile twitching, she tightened her fists, "Listen here, you raging Firecracker!"
"RAGING FIRECRACKER? WHO ARE YOU CALLING A FIRECRACKER YOU DAMN EXTRA?! YOU BETTER SHUT UP, YOU POINT-HOARDING NPC!"
"POINT HOARDING-?! IT WAS ONE ROBOT!"
"ONE ROBOT TOO MANY I'D SAY! I WAS GONNA BLAST IT!"
"JUST BLAST ANOTHER!"
"I'LL BLAST YOU, YOU DAMN EXTRA!"
"STOP CALLING ME THAT!"
"I'LL CALL YOU WHAT I WANT. I DON'T LISTEN TO SIDE CHARACTERS!"
"S-SIDE...?! YOU...!" Esuna's hands trembled in fury. She dodged a 3-pointer and spun around, just as she was about to kick it, Bakugou's hands slammed against its armour, the golden and orange light erupting into a blast. "HEY, THAT WAS MINE...!"
"SO WAS THE ONE POINTER YOU WITCH!" Bakugou retorted.
As the verbal battle raged on, the two continued running around, their feet carrying them further, they continued sending blasts and accumulating points during their verbal exchange. Just then, an explosion erupted in front of them. A colossal green mecha took a single step, its arms slamming against the buildings, clasping onto them as it moved forward, its Glowing orbs spotting the two examinees. It slowly moved its hand down, it slammed into the ground.
"OUT OF THE WAY!" They shouted in unison as Esuna jumped between the building's walls, using her fire to propel herself up while Bakugou climbed onto its arm before jumping down. They each landed on the ground and proceeded ahead, leaving the Zero pointer as if it were a huge pile of junk. It slowly moved it's Head back and tried to spin around, but the two were long gone.
"Stop getting in my way, you thieving extra."
"You're the thieving extra here!"
"WHAT DID YOU SAY?! I wasn't the one who took YOUR robot!" Bakugou's voice boomed as he retaliated.
"YOU JUST DID!" Esuna yelled back in frustration.
"YOU DID IT FIRST!"
"That was a one-pointer, the one you took out was a three-pointer; There is a difference. Besides, it's Not MY fault you are a slowpoke, Mr. Temper Tantrum."
"T-Temper-?!" He yelled out, sparks crackling and igniting in his palms, his eyebrows twitching.
They each turned around, kicking a 2-pointer simultaneously, the golden and black sparks trailing in the wind.
"Yes, shortfuse! You literally started yelling over a one-pointer!"
"One point is still a point!"
"IT'S LITERALLY A SCRAWNY ONE POINTER!"
"THAT SCRAWNY ONE POINTER WAS MINE!"
"Oh my god... what the hell is wrong with you?" Esuna muttered; she had never been so annoyed in her whole 15 years of living. She was about to take a left turn when she spotted a robotic arm hitting the building to her right, the walls crumbling, her eyes widened in horror.
"Watch out!" She yelled with all her might, the dark flames igniting under her feet, propelling her forward. In a flash of black and purple, she was gone. Her arms wrapped around the examinee as she pushed her out of the way just as the debris fell. She held on tightly as they rolled to the ground.
Bakugou's eyes lit up, his arms aching from excitement. Sparks flew from his palms and exploded, his body jumping forward, "DIE...!" He yelled out.
"Did he just say die....?" Esuna mumbled, pulling herself up. She shook her head, focusing her attention on the girl, "Are you alright? Injured anywhere?"
The brunette shook her head, her hands shaking, "No, I am alright... thank you..."
As the machine's hands moved closer to his face, he spun around, using his explosions to evade. A huge, sadistic smile plastered on his face as he raised his arms, ready for the final strike.
"Amazing... he dodged it with zero effort," Esuna mumbled, her eyes glued onto Bakugou, watching as his palms moved closer and closer- only for the alarm to blare, signalling the end of the exam.
"TIME'S UP!" A female hero shouted as she clasped her hands together.
"....Huh...?" Bakugou froze in place as his body slammed right into the ground.
Esuna closed one eye as she shuddered, "... Ouch... that must've hurt...." She slowly pulled herself up, the adrenaline still coursing through her body, "Well, ignoring him..., I've probably finished the exam with eno-... hold on...." She froze in place, color draining from her face.
"No....no, no, no, no...!" her mind circling back to the exam, "Noo...! YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME...!" She yanked her hair in frustration, "I'VE LOST COUNT OF MY POINTS....! I CAN'T EVEN REMEMBER WHERE I STOPPED... AGH DAMN THAT RAGING CHIHUAHUA! IT'S ALL HIS FAULT!"
First Place: Bakugou Katsuki
Villain Points: 77
Hero Points: 0
Total: 77
Second place: Esuna Kurotsu
Villain Points: 60
Hero points: 14
Total: 74

The door to the Bakugou household slowly creaked open. Katsuki walked in, his whole body fuming with rage. He rubbed his head and slammed the door shut.
"KATSUKI! DONT SLAM THE DOOR...!" A loud, dominating voice of a woman roared from the kitchen.
"Don't tell me what to do, you old hag!" Bakugou's hands trembled; he clicked his tongue. He shut his eyes for a second, then changed into his indoor shoes, placing them neatly in their place.
"WATCH YOUR MOUTH, YOUNG MAN!"
"N-now, now.... Take it easy, you two," A man with spikey brown hair stated, awkwardly attempting to calm down his chaotic family, a newspaper in his hands. "So, Katsuki, how was the exam?"
"TERRIBLE. THAT DAMN REDHEADED NPC STOLE MY ONE POINTER!" Bakugou yelled out in frustration, his feet stomping on the stairs.
"The... what now....?" Masaru Bakugou froze in place, trying to register his son's abrupt comment. "Is he talking about a game...?" His body jolted as he heard the loud bang of a door closing violently.
"What the hell is wrong with this kid?" A woman with spiky blond hair and red eyes walked out of the kitchen, wiping her hands with a towel.

Is there any MHA beta readers out there, I’m working on an IzuOcha fanfic and want it to be as great as possible but I don’t know if I can achieve that with my skills
Since I feel like the short hair really wasnt it dor Todoroki I tried making his hair a bit longer while keeping his adult features (since ngl Bulky Todoroki just fits)
.... I technically grew up watching BOTH Avatar (the Sci fi movie one) AND Avatar: The last Airbender. And I love both but right now I am Talking about the last airbender.
Like many others I watched it on Nickelodeon at the time and I did LOVE IT. I was maybe around 10/11 then when I was like 13/14 I just watchwd the whole thing online and LOVED it. I was really invested in the characters. This series has always been at the back of mind for many years and I have been wanting to do a rewatch of it.
Now.... years later (Ironically thanks to the movie leak... which I am still mad about btw) I go and rewatch it... now I am already halfway done with book 3 and....
Watching all THIS as an adult really...puts into perspective just how written Atla is.... like even as teen watching it I COULD tell some of that stuff....but there are OTHER things you also dont notice... Atla is that sort of show and I am honestly glad I decided to watch it.
The series... only 61 episodes MIND YOU is so rich in storytelling that it genuinely feels longer than that. I am not kidding: I always felt it was longer...
I am almost sad to... finish this series again and I hope we do Get the movie in theatre + the Zuko movie.
Zuko is one of my favourites from my very first watch of Atla.... and I mean if you READ my username I think that may be a LITTLE to clear 😂 just saying.
Its funny looking back at one of my more recent Favourites (Todoroki) and one of my very first favourites (Zuko)

06 || Her resolve!
A loud slap echoed through the mansion, the man's palm colliding harshly with the girl's cheek, her face recoiling back from the impact, the red imprint of his palm a stark contrast to her pale skin.
It stung.
Even more than she expected.
"You.... You spoiled brat! Must you always complicate matters for us with your foolish antics?!" The man raged, his hands curling into fists, nails digging into his palms as he glared down at her. "I assumed you had matured ever so slightly since that one incident at your previous school, but I was mistaken! Should have expected this much from someone with villainous blood in their veins!" Seiryuu continued to berate the girl, his hands slamming against the wall behind him, eyes full of rage and repulsion. This time, he was enraged, far more than ever before. "To make things worse, you used that revolting side of your Quirk... that wretched Quirk, its mere existence reminds me of this family's greatest shame!"
Erumi said nothing; she simply stared ahead blankly, her gaze not wavering as she looked at her grandfather, her eyes meeting his own unflinchingly.
This was no surprise; she had expected this much.
“You're Reckless, naive, and a troublemaker. If not for my influence... if not for our family's lineage, you would've been in a far worse situation with the Hero commission, no matter how heroic your actions were you almost broke a law," Seiryuu shook his head, and pinched the bridge of his nose, "Now I have to clean up after your mess like usual an-"
"I will not apologize," Erumi firmly stated, interrupting the man, her voice hard and unyielding. There was a conviction and calmness to it.
Seiryuu blinked, once… twice. He was taken aback by her sudden retaliation; it was out of nowhere. The old man paused for a minute as his eyes narrowed. "You impudent brat- Had it simply concerned your reputation alone, I wouldn't give a damn, but the public opinion of the family is on the line here. Your actions affect us all, remember that."
"Public opinion?" Erumi chuckled, a dark tone of amusement lacing her voice. "What you mean is your reputation in the hero commission and government, correct?" She glanced at her grandfather, her eyes zeroing in on the old man, "I don't even need to check the news to know what most public opinion is like, It may be a little divided but I guarantee you most would be praising the young girl springing into action when none of the pro heroes could." She retorted back with a scoff, "I don't need to check because such incidents happen again and again and again…” she went on, twirling a few strands of her hair around her fingers, she released it before looking at her grandfather with a stern gaze, “What bothers you isn't that I helped take down a villain... nor is it even that I used my "wretched" Quirk like you call it... No," She stepped forward, her voice quiet but firm, "What irks you is that I disobeyed you." She declared, her expression cold as ice, she looked into his eyes as if seeing through his very soul. She didn't blink, not once. "... that the granddaughter who always attempted to prove herself to you... who was ever so obedient, who sought your love and attention... has suddenly rebelled."
"Arrogant girl...! Not only have you forgotten proper etiquette and manners, but you're so willfully ignorant of how this could negatively impact your future!"
"No, in fact I do," Erumi replied.
"If you truly do, then how can you be so calm? Forget U.A or Shiketsu, you won't be allowed into any hero school whatsoever, you've destroyed your future," Seiryuu pointed out. "All the effort I put into training and prefecting the likes of you-"
"Do you really believe that? " Erumi smirked back at her grandfather, "I think the opposite. It may be true that not everyone's opinions will be positive but the hero commission would not let such a simple incident ruin the chances of a future hero," she added, taking a few steps back. "Even more so because I technically did not break the law, I did not use my quirk against him… not directly. In that sense... you will neither get too much difficulty from the government or the public. Ah... but I suppose they'll keep me detained or under observation for the next few months..." she trailed out, multiple thoughts swirling in her mind. “That wouldn't be too problematic for me-” she turned back towards Seiryuu, “Ah, that's why, isn't it? You're frustrated because I got the attention of the hero commission, too irritated that someone else will have control over me and your actions from now on huh?”
Seiryuu scoffed, "You are unbelievable...." He shook his head before continuing, "Regardless of the circumstances you caught the attention of the hero commission , which means that cunning woman will try to put pressure on us, in an attempt to gain some influence on you and your Quirk," His hand reached out and gripped Erumi's chin roughly before harshly jerked her head upwards. forcing her to meet his own gaze, "The best you could do is stay quiet, be obedient and behave yourself. Don't cause us any more trouble, do I make myself clear?"
With those last words he violently released his grip on her and turned around, walking away from her. He glanced at the small portrait in front of him. A delicate black and white landscape showing cherry blossoms.
"That aside, your new training shall start soon, the recommendation Exam for Shiketsu will be held in a few months, and you must pass with the best marks-"
"I will not join Shiketsu," Erumi interjected. Firm and to the point.
An uncomfortable silence filled the air, her grandfather stopped and stared blankly at his grandchild, Erumi stood her ground, remaining confident and composed as she looked at him, daring him to say something, anything…. To reprimand her again. Even threaten her.
But…Even if he did… her decision was made.
This time… she wasn't backing away. Not anymore.
"Did I not just tell you to behave yourself?" Seiryuu questioned her, looking down on the girl. “Do you find pleasure in making my life difficult, girl?”
"Foolish of you to assume I'll listen to your words, Grandfather," Erumi retorted back. “I'm no longer the same cowardly girl who seeked your love and attention.” She stepped forward closing the gap between them, “Before I came here, I went to U.A to officially register myself for the upcoming recommendation Exam. It's already decided.”
Seiryuu scowled, “Recommendation Exam? Don't be ridiculous! You need to have–”
“A Recommendation letter?” Erumi smiled as she raised an unsealed envelope up, “Already do. As I said, it's already set,” she paused for a second before continuing, “whether I end up going to U.A or Shiketsu in the end… I am NOT wasting my chance to attend my dream school, the exam is in a few months and there is nothing you can do grandfather. Nothing. At. All.” She emphasized each word. “Even your influence cannot reach the walls of U.A.”
Her grandfather remained silent, his lips tightening as his glare turned frostier, colder. He clenched his fist tightly, a snarl forming on his face, his vines popping up.
It was true… unless he had a valid reason he cannot revoke her application.
“So I suggest, dear grandfather,” she took another step forward, the two now mere inches apart, “that you stop interfering.” She stated sharply, “My education, my decision.” She repeated, her icy voice laced with steel.
“You dare threaten me, child? You?!” Seiryuu roared. “You insolent, worthless, disgraceful, rebellious girl!! You don't understand anything! You think YOU can enter U.A? You think they'll accept you?” he scoffed. “You're as naive and foolish as your shameful mother.”
“Don't you dare insult my mother!” Erumi's eyes flared with anger, she gripped her hand and slowly took small, steady breaths to compose herself. Erumi shook her head and sighed, “Yet again you doubt my intelligence, Grandfather." She turned around, “I'll fulfil my dream… on my own terms. Away from you, from this family and from your control. My dream. My choices. My rules.” She walked away. “You think I don't know why you want me in shiketsu? It's to continue your influence, to continue controlling my life the way you want to, to keep me a mere docile puppet for you and the rest of the family, to dictate my life with your rules…. But no more,” her voice held finality, “I will no longer be controlled by you. Not anymore. I am NOT Raiga and I refuse to be like him.”
And with that, Erumi made her exit, her eyes burning with conviction.
“Get back this instant!"
Erumi didn't flinch, she didn't stop, she didn't look back. She kept her gaze in front of her… and walked away.

The silver haired girl walked through the streets, her mind clearer than ever before. She was determined to go through this till the end, determined to keep moving forward….To forge her own path, make her own choices.
She felt free, felt that a huge burden had finally been lifted off her shoulders.
For the first time…. She truly felt in charge of her own life, of her own decisions. But this wasn't the end… It was merely the beginning. The prologue of her true journey.
The start of her dreams…. Her own goals….
Erumi stepped forward, making her way through the crowded streets, her eyes looking straight ahead… but her mind was elsewhere. The evening sun cast a golden glow on the cobbled path. Slowly and silently, she turned her gaze upwards, towards the serene view of the sky. She took a deep breath, trying to forget the conversation from before.
“You're as Naive and foolish as your shameful mother.”
Those words still filled her with rage and contempt. It made her blood boil with anger– She kept walking… and walking before breaking out into a sprint, her pace quickening. She surged forward, her hair whipping back, streaming across her face as she gritted her teeth.
She didn't know where she was going… she just needed to go, to keep moving, to keep running… She picked up speed, her feet kept pounding forward, every step fueled by the rage that boiled inside her, a tempest that cannot be extinguished. Not that lightly…
She was going to make her grandfather regret those words. Erumi was going to prove her worth… prove herself once and for all.
For her grandfather, second…. And for herself first.
Slowly, her pace faltered, each step feeling heavier than the last; eventually, she stumbled to a halt. Erumi stood frozen, fists clenched as she took her breath, trying to compose herself.
She bent forward, hands landing on her ankles. The girl gasped for air, inhaling sharp breaths before eventually exhaling long and slow. Her eyes stayed closed as she let it out in short, quiet bursts of sound.
“I won't lose this chance…” Erumi mumbled straightening up, she looked at her hands, made a fist, her nails sank into her flesh, piercing into it as she looked ahead.
‘This time… for sure.’
“ARGHHHHHHH!”
Erumi flinched, staggering back a step and nearly losing her balance. The scream startled her back into reality. Her arm fell back to her side before she turned towards the source of the anguished cry.
Her gaze drifted to her right, towards the huge heap of garbage, pile after pile of absolute trash, behind it was the serene view of the sea, “Takoba beach…?” she muttered before her eyes landed on a plain boy, his messy green hair falling over his face, he was gasping for air, trying to suck in the oxygen. Sweat poured down his brow, his legs trembling beneath him before he slowly toppled over. Falling down to the filthy sand... his arms sprawled out, he grasped onto the sand.
‘What is that scrawny guy doing?’
Erumi hesitantly slipped closer, each step light against the ground. Her pace was slow, steady. Each step was muted, deliberate.
‘He looks somewhat familiar…. Where have I seen him before?’
The boy took quick rapid breaths, his chest heaving, “I... can't… keep... going…” he mumbled, gasping for air.
Erumi stopped in her tracks, her eyes focused on the green haired boy, remaining a silent witness to the boy's struggles.
“Agh… I am not going to give up!” The teenage boy yelled out. Sprawling back into his feet with a jump, his eyes focused on the refrigerator in front of him, “I will… train… Clean the whole beach… and get into U.A!” He declared with a loud shout.
Erumi's gaze sharpened, a flicker of surprise crossing her face. “U.A….” She mumbled, her eyes focused on the green silhouette of the ambitious boy.
‘That boy… wants to go to U.A too huh..?’
From her spot on the beach, half hidden by the heap of garbage, her eyes followed his every movement, his every step as he let out a battle cry, using his flimsy arms to try and move the refrigerator forward, it wouldn't budge, no matter how much he pushed it forward. His feet dug into the sand, “Agh….!” he grumbled, “For… U.A… “
Erumi didn't know why, but she kept watching, she kept watching from a distance as the teenage boy trained, she watched as he sprinted across the sand, as he dragged the trash around with his weak muscles.
Watching him… made her feel motivated as well, it made her want to give it her all. Hours and hours on end… she watched as the boy kept going.
Erumi exhaled softly, shutting her eyes for a moment before spinning around in her heels and walking away, her eyes glinting with an iron will.
After a few minutes, the green haired teenager made his way towards his bag, his steps slow and sluggish from the weight of his training, he felt exhausted, worn out completely… both physically and mentally. He shook his head and bent down to grab his bag but he stopped, his eyes noticing the small energy drink placed next to it, frozen over by the ice with a small note nearby.
“All might…?” Midoriya wondered but something told him it wasn't, the ice had only just begun to melt… he picked up the small note. In it were a few simple words elegantly written in clear handwriting.
“Give it your all.”

She took off running, feet pounding onto the dirt, her ponytail jumping around with each stride forward, each step only motivating, fueling her to push harder… to run quicker. She kept pressing forward, her rhythm quick but steady.
It was her, the early morning sun and the quiet streets of her neighborhood. Her unbuttoned jacket hung loose, sliding off her shoulders with each step. She could feel the chilly morning air on her bare skin, the thin black tank top barely shielding her from it. But she didn't mind the cold, it only served to rejuvenate her. Sweat trickled down her body, lungs burning with every sharp inhale of breath.
And so… she picked up the pace.
✧⋆·········⋆✧༺𓆩❄️𓆪༻✧⋆·········⋆✧
She dropped down onto the ground, her palms pressing onto the hard wooden planks of the training room. The jacket was long discarded on the ground, Erumi's sole attention on her training, she lifted herself up before bending her arms once more, lowering herself slowly, her elbows straightening.
Push up after push up… she kept going, a few strands of her silver locks falling down her sweaty face.
‘51, 52, 53.’
She kept count of her push-ups, her pace slowing down with every one.
✧⋆·········⋆✧༺𓆩❄️𓆪༻✧⋆·········⋆✧
Erumi stood at the center of the room, her eyes shut. Her eyes snapped open, igniting with a fierce resolve. She slowly raised her hand, motioning with her hand as water emerged from the ground. With a sudden spin she launched water blades towards her targets, knocking out only a few.
She clicked her tongue before lowering her hand.
‘Next time…’

As she sat in class, Erumi felt unusually restless, her feet clicking onto the ground silently, hands twirling with her pen under the table, throwing it from one hand to the other.
Her attention: not on the physics class.
Her muscles were agitated, aching to be stretched. She didn't have time to take it easy, not now. So instead she worked on her reflexes, moving the small pen around from one hand, twirling it around.
Esuna glanced towards her friend for a brief moment.
✧⋆·········⋆✧༺𓆩❄️𓆪༻✧⋆·········⋆✧
Erumi clutched the cold metal bar, her grip tight and unyielding, she put an arm behind her, holding her weight with one arm. Her focus didn't falter. She lowered herself before shoving herself upwards, her hands trembling as she struggled to hold her weight.
One… two… three…
She kept pushing herself to the limit. Erumi gritted her teeth. She pushed harder, quicker… her eyes burning with determination.
But eventually she couldn't handle it anymore and let go, landing on the ground. Her muscles ached, “Not good enough….” She mumbled.
It wasn't nearly acceptable. Not for her.
✧⋆·········⋆✧༺𓆩❄️𓆪༻✧⋆·········⋆✧
Day after day, Erumi would sprint through the empty streets, her feet carrying her with each stride. She dashed forward, her pace steady and sharp, her feet pounded against the hard concrete… faster than before.
Her muscles rippled but she didn't slow down, not for a moment. Her destination: the beach.
With a deep inhale, she closed her eyes, stopping short from her usual spot. Like always she went towards the venting machine. She slid two coins inside before bending down and grabbing the two energy drinks.
The green silhouette was still there, running across the sand.
“His posture is all wrong…” Erumi mumbled, with a sigh she opened up her can and took a sip.
✧⋆·········⋆✧༺𓆩❄️𓆪༻✧⋆·········⋆✧
Midoriya sighed, moving his aching arm around, like always his eyes landed on the small can covered in ice… and like always there was a small note under his bag, “That person again huh… their ice quirk sure is useful…” he muttered, lands clasping onto the small piece of paper, “I wonder who that is… they have a neat and elegant handwriting… I want to thank them…”
He quietly started reading it…
“Bad posture, what are you? An old man? Back straight, knees bent. Legs do the work not your spine or else… you'll collapse or worse get injured. Fix it.”
“O-old man…?!” Midoriya flinched back, his eyes going wide, “T- they sure are blunt….” He whispered to no one in particular before he picked up the energy drink, “Back straight, knees bent… legs do the work…” he repeated the words. “I see that does make sense… that way your body can hold more weight and you don't get tired as easily–” he started going into his many rants, words spilling out of his mouth in a rush, too fast for anyone to follow.
✧⋆·········⋆✧༺𓆩❄️𓆪༻✧⋆·········⋆✧
With a loud thud, she planted her feet firmly on the ground, her breathing even and controlled. She clenched her fists, tightening her grip before launching her first strike, then again. She spun around before arching her leg, kicking the air with a swift, precise motion.
Again, punch. Punch. Kick.
Punch. Punch. Kick… and repeat.
Her fists snapped upwards with explosive force, followed by a swift sweep of her legs. She pivoted on her feet, rotating before kicking the air with all her might, when she landed she used her other leg.
✧⋆·········⋆✧༺𓆩❄️𓆪༻✧⋆·········⋆✧
Once again, Erumi dropped down onto the ground. Her one arm behind her as she counted down her pushups.
“80, 81, 82-”
She heaved, her lungs burning from the strain. She pushed down before pulling herself up. Her muscles twitched as she took quick, rapid breaths. Sweat dropped onto the wooden planks.
“97, 98, 89, 100-”
She took a deep breath before falling onto the ground. She closed her eyes and rolled down. Her eyes glancing at the ceiling.
✧⋆·········⋆✧༺𓆩❄️𓆪༻✧⋆·········⋆✧
She kept pushing herself with one hand, her grip tight on the metal bars, Erumi closed her eyes. With a sharp push, she swung forward until she was hanging upside down. She clutched the bar tighter. The girl strained to keep her balance, muscles pulsing with each move.
Again, she pushed her body down before pulling herself up, her hair obscuring her vision slightly as she remained upside down.
She refused to let go… refused to stop.
Down…. Up… Down… Up.
Down… Up… Down… Up
She kept repeating, testing the limit of her endurance each time.
Her muscles flexed one last time as her body spun around the bar before her feet landed on the ground with a thud, her balance not wavering.
✧⋆·········⋆✧༺𓆩❄️𓆪༻✧⋆·········⋆✧
With a sharp intake of breath, Erumi's eyes flashed open. Particles of water slowly floated around, slowly combining. She raises her hand forward and spun around in her heels with a brush of energy.
In the speed of light, water blades launched towards the targets destroying them all without effort, the destroyed pieces of wood flying around.
With a smile, she straightened her posture, twirling her hand around to summon the remaining water particles back. She clenched her fist and pulled it back as the water dispersed.

And so… each day passed with renewed vigor, her determination unwavering. The training… harsh, progress slow but evident. Her unyeiling practice never stopped during the busy school days.
Paper after paper flew out of the calender… days followed weeks… and weeks followed months… and finally… the day of the recommendation Exam finally came.
Erumi was calm like always, her blue eyes scanned her surroundings, watching as applicants walked past her, the open gates of U.A welcoming them in.
The building was huge.
She had seen it several times in articles and on screen but this was the first time she ever saw U.A with her own eyes and it won't be the last, she'd make sure of that.
She knew she could do it, that she was more than qualified.
Above all, she needed to prove her worth.
With all that rigid training she underwent on her own, she was confident in her abilities. It was going to pay off. Going to U.A meant a lot to her… it was the start of her following her parents’ footsteps.
With a sigh, Erumi adjusted the strap of her bag and walked forward, her sharp eyes full of confidence as she blended in with the rest of the crowd.
"Good morning, Ru!"
As Erumi glanced behind her, what greeted her was the red-headed ball of cheerfulness she called a childhood friend.
"...morning, Esuna," was her lackluster response. “What brings you here?”
“To cheer for you, silly!” Esuna smirked, her eyes glinting with mischief. Slowly, she raised a fist forward, “Show them what you're made of.”
“Yeah…” Erumi smiled, bumping fists with Esuna. After a while, she turned back towards the gate and with renewed purpose took a step closer, her hair flowing behind.
