maybe growing up is just becoming who you were at 14 again but learning how to love her this time

people without any whimsy scare me. why are you like that. where are your trinkets.

I just want to remind you that sometimes your life really doesn't begin until you are 26+... Romanticizing and obsessing over our youth is harmful. Growing up is beautiful. Discovering who you are and how you interact with the world is a gift. Maturing and learning what you truly want out of life and living in that purpose brings fulfillment and peace. Your life is not over in your early 20's because you haven't figured it out yet, it's just beginning.

An important thing to remember and put into practice

the trees you grew up with have not forgotten you. their branches still whisper your name in the breeze and their roots remember the paths your feet once traced through their shade.

I really love this as I spent a lot of my childhood sitting up in a tree in our yard. The branch I sat in was cut down by the neighbours unfortunately but the memories still prevail. To think that my beloved tree remembers me as fondly as I do it fills me with such warmth
