I really got under your skin this time, didn't I? Next time, I'll draw blood.

Luke does not want to live as an Imperial. He refuses. When he was younger and more naive and thought all he needed in his life was adventure and that Empire was the key to that...well, that was when he was foolish and self-centered and easily led astray. He knew better now. He knew what the Empire was like and what it did. And there was no way he could ever join something that slaughtered innocents.

Even if his father was one of the highest ranking, and most terrifying, individuals amongst it.

After he is caught, Luke tries to escape often. He is quite good...but Vader is just a bit better. Vader still carries his memories as Anakin Skywalker. He still has that instinct and reaction in him, even if that immature brattiness was buried deep down. He knew the best ways for people with withs to try to escape and his child had those wits.

The first time, it was more about presentation. He and a small group of Troopers were waiting for Luke as he dropped from the ceiling to the hanger. Luke just stared at them wide eyed but did not put up much of a fight, too shocked at how ready his father was for him. He was brought back to his room and left with a clear warning, "The first time is expected, child. I will show you mercy only this once simply because of my fondness for you. Do not do this again."

Luke did it again just two days later.

Vader, once again, was ready. He was not as amused and, as he warned, not as merciful.

"Second time in private." Was all he said in that forbidding fashion before he pulled Luke back to his room and then, to the young man's utter surprise and horror, was thrown over the man's lap and promptly spanked.

Luke is furious. He was expecting most anything from the feared Imperial Guard Dog...this was not one of them. He tries to snarl, to buck off, but his father holds firm.

"If you wish to behave like a misguided child, my son, you'll be treated like one. Twenty-five this first time. You do this again, it will be fifty and in front of the whole station."

Luke still does it.

And Vader is good on his word.

Luke is left humiliated and stunned and unsure what to do. He certainly second guesses his attempts...but he still tries. He doesn't give up. And his father doesn't either.

Chapter 4

A short amount of time passed before Kenobi woke up. He looked around to see Rex sleeping next to him and Ahsoka and Padmé sitting on the small bed. He knew Anakin was on this ship, he could sense his presence. He went to reach for his lightsaber only to find it wasn’t there.

“Don’t worry, I have it” Ahsoka said “You should be careful with it Master, that weapon is your life you know.” She liked to remind him of the statement he drilled into both Anakin and herself. He let out a light chuckle.

“Can I have it back then?” he asked.

“Nope, not until I know you and Anakin won’t try to kill each other with them”

Desperate to have his defence back, he said “Fine, you have my word”

“Nice try” she responded

Kenobi knew how strong willed Ahsoka is so he gave up for now.

Anakin’s voice came over the ship, “We’re here”

“Uh, where is ‘here’ exactly?” Obi-Wan asked.

“Polis Massa, they have a medical station here. When me and Rex landed Padmé’s life force was very weak and still isn’t that strong, with being pregnant as well, I wanted to make sure she was alright.”

“Always so considerate” Obi-Wan responded, for once he said something without sarcasm.

Rex was also now awake.

“General” he said to Kenobi. He nodded in return.

The ramp lowered to the station and they all stood up. When Padmé stood, with aide from Ahsoka, she felt a sudden, sharp pain in her stomach. She grabbed her bump as she tried to move but the pain was too much. Anakin saw his wife’s distress and couldn’t just wait for someone to help her. He quickly picked her up and carried her in; a droid in the front of the station pointed him in the direction of an empty med-bay room. Anakin placed her on the table in the centre of the it and turned to leave, knowing she probably hadn’t forgiven him yet. But her hand grabbed his, pulled him towards her and said “Stay, please”. Anakin nodded and held onto her hand.

In another room, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan and Rex were joined by Master Yoda and Senator Bail Organa. They all bowed their heads in greeting.

“With young Skywalker, do what shall we?” Yoda wondered.

“Let him stay with Padmé” Ahsoka said “If she dies, let Anakin be there with her, if she gives birth let him be there. Padmé is his light and his life, if we take her away from him, then he will only turn back to the dark side.”

“I concur.” Kenobi said “I know what he did but she means more to him more than any of us will understand.” His mind flickered to his own love for Satine for a brief moment.

“But did you see what he did?!” the senator erupted “He has murdered so many for his own gain; I watched the clones, under his command, gun down a young boy while I was helpless to do anything. Senator Amidala may be a friend of mine and while I understand the two are married and having a child, I do not stand for this!”

“Appreciate your concern I do, but a matter with the Jedi this is. Fail to destroy Sidious I did, come here for Vader he will. Protected, this station should be.” The little green Jedi turned to Bail to tell him that it was his responsibility.

“Captain?” he turned to Rex.

“Sir.” Rex stood to attention.

“I could use your help with security.”

“Yes, Sir!” Rex put his helmet on and they both walked away together, the senator clearly annoyed.

“Vader?” Ahsoka asked.

“Darth Vader was the name that Palpatine bestowed unto Anakin as his title as a sith lord.” Obi- Wan responded.

It was hard for Ahsoka to imagine Anakin pledging himself to a sith, for Padmé or not it was still hard.

“I’ll go and see how they are” Ahsoka said and walked down the corridor.

Anakin hadn’t moved from Padmé’s side. He was so scared that this may be one of the final moments of her life. He remembered what Palpatine said to him, about Darth Plagueis. He could go and get him and they could live happily together and raise a family. But he couldn’t leave her and she couldn’t be moved, not while she is about have a child. He sensed his old padawan’s presence entering the room.

“Hey Snips” he said, not taking his eyes away from his wife.

“Hey” she responded, his fear was growing so much inside him that Ahsoka had to do something, anything. She looked up at the monitors and though she didn’t know much about medical things, from what she learnt from Kix, her levels were completely normal.

“Look at the monitors Anakin” she said “she is completely healthy”

The droid in the corner turned from the docking station and started talking, which shocked all three of them.

“The togruta is right, and the babies are healthy also.” It responded.

“Babies?!” they all said.

But Obi-Wan was still smiling, his eyes deepest blue-green, and as he bent to place a gentle kiss on Anakin’s lips, the younger man finally began to relax. “Hello, Anakin,” Obi-Wan said, joy suffusing his presence.

So here is a short comic i’ve been working for 3 weeks, about old wounds and untold secrets between those fools.

I also have this headcanon that angels would cry blood when they’re emotionally distressed (and considering how many eyes Zira has, oh boy…)

I’m sorry if there’s anywhere that looks unpolished, has weird dialog or just overall not good, I apologize. I tried my best.

I’m not sure about making a continuation of this (potentially nsfw or sth if the last page means anything) , maybe it’s up to you guys to decide if its even acceptable or anything.
