Bad picture of a beautiful bass. Custom Ken Smith 5-string bass. I don’t think I’ll play a nicer bass for the rest of my life. 

Telestar (Teisco) Musicmaster copy. A friend of mine grabbed this from JB Kline in Lambertville, NJ.

Silvertone Hofner copy from the 70s. I was given this by an old man who was a regular at the hoagie place I worked at after high school. The only condition was that I could never sell it. He also had a Gibson archtop from the 50s that he let me check out one time but the tuners literally disintegrated in my fingers when I tried to tune it (yikes). The action on it was insanely high when he gave it to me, but with some work I was able to lower it to the point where it’s playable. The intonation will never be spot on unfortunately but c’est la vie.

Gibson “The Paul”. This one was a 1979 IIRC. A previous owner put DiMarzio Super Distortions into it. The three small toggle switches were added later as well, but I can’t remember what they actually did. Possibly coil taps and a phase switch?

The Gibson Falcon was only produced for one year (1961). It was one of the first amps with onboard reverb. Only about 200 were sold before the Falcon was replaced by the Crestwood. 14 watts, 6V6 powered. Gibson included a monitor output that was intended to run this amp in stereo with a “clean” amplifier (one without reverb).
