Sometimes success doesn’t come easily. Sometimes we must be able to endure defeat again and again. Sometimes life may never seem to give us a break, but this is why you were born to be so strong. This is why you were born with such a strong, beautiful spirit.

we all have our own heroes. heroes who endure in the silence, who suffer away from the spotlight, who bury their burdens from plain sight. heroes who sit on the sidelines, with pure pride plastered on their smiling faces, with tears of joy almost pouring all over. heroes who embody the true meaning of sacrifice, of pure selflessness, to the point of carrying the weight of the world on their two shoulders, surpassing even atlas at his own game. heroes who passionately love without conditions, and give without expectations. this is the day of celebrating the heroes in our own homes, the light that illuminates families. so thank you for being my hero, ma.
