Your beauty stands

Much like an older prose

Written in a language

Long out of use

Sat out alone and seclude

Itself away from time

It remains untouched

Incomprehensible

But it remains

Sitting at the table

Like someone forgot to swap it out

And once they remembered

If I can't say it's you

That I write for

My words galore.

Am i a scam

If I don't try too hard

To inject meaning and rhyme

You possess my mind

Maybe I am,

A coward and a scam

But atleast you're with me

In phases

Smuggling your way in

My night sky

And with each passing day

Your presence grows

How does it feel to be

My most adorned?

And I know

The start of the end

You're still somewhere

Away from my stage

My spotlight

You will go back

Like I've seen many do

To be so truthful

And direct

And not spin stories

That lead nowhere

And just tell you what i mean

And just know what I'd like to say

Unfortunately

For me it's more so like a diagnosis

Every poem comes to me a patient

I must examine carefully

And miss nothing

And hear stories

And laugh at bad jokes

Just to see

Where it all leads to

I know something is wrong

And maybe I will never know

But I will take all the leads

And travel down all the streets

Just to see where it goes

And I wish I could tell you before

What I am trying to say

But truthfully
