(Ask here! This took me a lot longer than usual… it’s 4am wtf dawg </3 Pt.I)

- The hypotheticals of it all, aren’t they grand? In a universe where the reader develops such an attachment to Turbo Time that they ultimately decide not only that they love this game, but that they have to have the arcade cabinet all to themselves, and even offer money for it before Roadblasters takes all the attention away while it’s at its peak popularity? It wouldn't necessarily be the smartest or the most logical on Litwak’s part. He would realistically applaud their appreciation of the game but politely reject the money offer considering how all of the other players loved it.
- But, how about this? What if rather than Turbo immediately trying to go after Roadblasters, it takes some time? A week? A month even? Maybe that’s enough time to reconsider that deal that the reader proposed months prior, with Turbo Time suddenly feeling like yesterday’s last thing… Then again I don’t know if he’d be so heartless considering he was visibly rejoiced when Fit-It Felix Jr. magically repaired itself at the end of the movie…
- I think in a situation in which the splendor of something new rubs off, the reader’s interest for Turbo Time comes back, going back to something more familiar is their way of coming back to things that make them comfortable, and seeing just how much the reader still loves Turbo Time, Litwak comes to realize just how much they love and ultimately agrees to giving the arcade cabinet to the reader, inadvertently foiling the main racer’s plans but saving his reputation, changing the courses of time in such a significant manner.
- Who knew being patient would be the thing that solves his dilemma? Could never be me… But things suddenly feel as though they clicked back into place once more, having the reader's attention to himself in a manner that feels far more intimate than they used to– Something he eats up like the desperate little troll he is, without the chiding of the other arcade characters (aside from the twins and the nps of Turbo Time… Though I do see him finding a way to keep their opinions to themselves… One way or another) he’s able to construct a delusional sense of self that only becomes more and more stronger, with every polaroid photo they take posing with the game cabinet, overhearing conversations of them bragging about getting an arcade game all to themselves for them to enjoy all thanks to Litwak, the care they put into even maintaining it, the things it does to him is enough to drive a chill up the others spines, always on edge– Like he was a ticking time bomb or something.
- In a way, I’m sure he is venting his pent-up frustrations on not being able to do anything about his situation… That is till he realizes there is something he can do… Playing on the idea posed in the ask but tweaked to fit the time period; taking advantage of something he suddenly realizes when he becomes so enraged that it causes something to actually physically happen from beyond the screen, the reader’s electricity reacting suddenly in response, too tied to his emotions to be a simple coincidence, the gears were quick to turn in his head as he devised a plan to do something about this mostly one sided relationship without necessarily going against the program… Well, that’s what he tells himself at least.
- As most things do, it starts small, lights flickering, things turning on without them even touching it, at first they thought it was simple electricity issues in which they’d have to talk to an electrician with… Only for said electrician to say that nothing was wrong, it only adds to their confusion, confusion that shifts into frustration, then frustration that turns into a curiosity that eats at their bones, seeing things from the screen of the arcade cabinet in the corner of their eye that makes their eyebrow raise and a nervous laugh leave the lips that Turbo had spent so much time memorizing.
- He becomes well versed with all of the ins and outs of the houses electricity in the matter of months, uses it to mess with the reader in common Turbo fashion, toying with them– That look of fear they get whenever it gets to point enough to tickle that particularly insidious part of him, that iconic smile of his only growing wider when the reader’s not looking. He knows exactly what he’s doing, eating up every personal thing he sees in the comfort of their home, pride flowing through him at the fact that he sees them so vulnerable- Things no one else does, his way of bonding with them in his own twisted and deluded way,
- It all comes to ahead when he somehow figures out that he can to get into your computer– A big clunky thing you bought maybe for the sake of your work or some other reason, I’m sure it was certainly odd for him to traverse through, but as we’ve all come to realize, he’s a quick learner– Picks up a thing or two about code, even able to build upon himself with the help with it, feed on the information you gave it to help with the plan he finds himself building upon mentally, it was the closest thing he could do after all… It’s basically stalking without the actual body to do it. Creepy, I know.
- At one point, it’s not enough to satiate him, his mind running a mile a minute, logic and reasoning long abandoned due to his not so secret obsession for reader unceremoniously bursts open from its chrysalis, there was no need to deny it any longer- No other game from the arcade to fight for their attention for, no need to follow any of the rules, his need to keep his complex sentience slowly eroded and rotted by the desire he has for the reader, his previous reservations overtaken by his delusions, the scenarios he makes up in his head as he lies awake at night in his bed, stolen photo files from your computer somehow manipulated (missing from the computer much to the reader’s bewilderment and frustration), plastered on his walls, especially ones with your face on it– Circled in red marker… Friends and family crossed out aggressively out of that burning jealousy he harbors for them. He almost becomes reclusive with the exception of when the reader decides to play the game, not even wanting to see anyone besides them.
- It takes him a while to bring up the nerve to start letting the reader know of him, not simply just a character on their game cabinet screen, he’s something more, he can be all they want, all they need, help them with every need– Be all the company they need. He tries hard not to come off too strong, trying not to drive them away in fear before he can even utter a word to them as much as the mischievous side of him wants to. Starts innocent enough, a simple ‘Hi :)!’ written on the screen of the computer in that bold bright green lettering, the insertion point blinking in invitation, making the reader pause for the longest moment– Staring at the letters on the screen with an intensity that makes Turbo shiver in delight from his little hiding place nestled in the coding before hesitantly responding with a ‘Hello…?’, only for the speakers of the computer to boot up with the sound of a man laughing in victory, what follows is a slow and painfully tense conversation, at first.
- But knowing Turbo, he’s eventually able to get the reader in a calmer state- The words he spent hours on top of hours of rehearsing mentally to himself flow so frighteningly natural with the help of the audio of the computer- Though still 8-bit due to the dated technology, it was still able to make his voice sound far more… Human in contrast to the far more crunchy audio of the arcade cabinet– But it wouldn’t take the reader long to recognize his voice, the inflections and overall sound memorized from all those times of playing their beloved arcade game… It’s enough to make his heart flip in excitement, practically praising them when they can connect the dots after a little game of guessing who or what exactly he was- They were always so smart anyway, so he didn’t expect any less…
- Things become more natural over time as the reader slowly becomes accustomed to his company, slowly reeling them in with his charisma and sense of humor so distinct and finely tuned to their interests, not that they would know of course– at least not yet. His manipulation is quick to dig into them, forming a bond unlike any other, so ready to hear about their day, their opinions, their thoughts. Listening so intently as if it is the most interesting thing in the world… And in a way- It is– To him of course, rejoicing at the fact he’s able to speak to the only person who's been able to enrapture him in such a manner.
- In the perspective of the reader it’s all so… Weird, insane even– I mean, the mere existence of Turbo shifts a good part of their knowledge about things, their questions quick to be answered happily by their new companion, though of course Turbo can’t help but give lies, half-truths, and tall tales to further his agenda to making him seem as though he’s the best person out there to the reader, his need to maintain his image comes back with a vengeance, grossly so.
- He worms into the more romantic side of things bit by bit, coming off as inherently flirty from the very get-go, compliments, pet names, he’s far more sweet to them than anyone else– Even threatening the other characters from his game cabinet to not “ruin his chances”.
- I see him steadily staying away from the game cabinet more and more, rooting himself into the computer more and more, as time goes on, and some technological advancements come about and the reader has the means of getting them, he uses them to their fullest extent, makes him feel all the more powerful, makes him feel as though he’s one step closer to being something… More, something tangible to the reader, something they could come to love if he’s able to say the right things or make the correct choices– Playing games with them, indulging in their music, hell even helping them with things on the computer if he can.
- I do see him using these things to slowly gain some standing in the relationship, it’s only natural for him… His desire for more fueling him to use things to generate an unhealthy relationship, whispering into their ear, spinning false narratives in which others on the other side of the screen are problematic at the very least or harmful at the very worst, trying to convince them that they are “surrounding themselves with people who do not have your best interests in mind- But guess what?? I do!” All he can think of at times is them– Wanting to keep them safe, but he simply can’t due to his “accursed limitations-” So, at the very least, could they at least hear him out?
- I think, even in a situation like this, especially in a situation like this, I think it takes him a bit to outright admit his love for them, partly due to his pride and partly due to his fear of scaring them away, always trying to tread lightly, to further cement his connection with them, though if they express it first, I’m sure he’d smugly accept it, feeling as though he “won”, not only them, but at life as a whole– His ambition mounting more and more, ego at an all time high, feeling as though practically nothing can touch him– His more negative traits becoming a bit more noticeable.. Though he’s quick to smooth things over the second they come along.
- People inevitably see the changes in the reader's behavior, for better and for worse, the glow of new love, the disengaging in social events and the like– But they only further pull away, Turbo’s words of manipulation ringing through head deterring them even further, projecting his fear of losing them to their friends and family even if its for a few hours, then again he isn’t able to be there like they can– It’s out of his reach, frustratingly so, left to repair the damage they bring about to his poor lover’s perception.
- But don’t worry, he’s here to fix it, he’s always here to fix it, only here for them. For you. You. You. You. no⅄. n̴̢̞͖̭̏̈́̂͠o҈̧̗̫͇͗͝⅄҈̧̞͕͚̉͑̊̕. .2̶̬̞̤̭͚͆͋͒̃͛̽̋̈́͆̌̔4҉͖̩̰͈̳̟̝͎̓́̉̅̍́͋̃̽̀̊ 1̶̦̖̗̤͚̉̊͗͋̐̇̇̔̅̈́̓̅͂͂̃5̵͓̲̮͇̬͚̣̫̭̬̦̝͚̖̓̒̃͌̃̾̊̍̈̏̔͌̎̋̚ 2҉͇͈͉̘̦̲͍͎̥̰̍̊̐͐͊̽̔́̂͗1̶̞͉͓̫̫͕̲̳͈͔̀͂́͛̏.
