Paladin is, by far, the most comphet-coded rpg class. Think about it.

Like I simply can't make a paladin without having her be a homophobic and deeply repressed lesbian. It just fits.

The place where this hits a snag gameplay-wise is when the rpg has no mechanics to accommodate "Okay but maybe the paladin's rigid moral system was bad for her and breaking free from it is a healthy thing" so the only option is "turn evil instantly"

i wish I had that image saved that was like "transmascs when you open the sour gummy bag" and it's just a bunch of guys looking at the camera.
