I’ve been home about a week now and am still trying to preserve the peace and slow pace from Kauai. It was a great way to start the year and I am trying to be more intentional with what I do with my time and to be more present. Had a great time with the Bunya’s at Disneyland. My first time going to Star Wars land and the Avengers campus. 22,000 steps, 10 miles of walking, and 87 degree heat was made for a very sweaty and exhausting day!! Took a much needed getaway to @thescottresort I’m absolutely in love with this place 😍😍. From the brass fixtures to the free Nespresso in my room, I felt like I was living the luxurious life! The resort itself is beautiful with lovely little spots to relax like the hammocks, the lawn with rocking chairs, and a couple of sitting areas. The lobby is large and has many chairs and couches to sit and have a drink or get some work done. I HIGHLY recommend this place and would love to be anyone’s plus one for a trip here!! Uncle Romy, you know I’ve never been a wizard of words but I will try my best to express the privilege I felt to be able to take care of you and the tremendous amount of grief I feel now that your gone. Your incredible strength is something I will draw from when things get overwhelming. Anytime I get sleepy around 7 pm, I will take it as a message from you to remind me that rest is necessary.
