This, to me, is the scariest movie I have ever seen, and is also the reason why I don’t watch scary movies anymore. I watched this movie when I was 13 years old, and after seeing it, I was literally and totally scared for my life every single day for three months. I had to sleep with my 6 year old sister in order to just pass out. I couldn’t sleep with the lights off, I would keep every door pushed open up to the wall so as not to think something was behind it. For three months, I would dread the sun going down and the shadows coming out. I almost went to therapy until I finally started to forget the scarring images from this movie and the terror I felt. Some people don’t get scared from watching horror films. Some people my find it hard to sleep the first night or two. Some people are scared for tops.. one week. Three months though.... that’s what makes this one of the best horror films of all time, in my opinion.
