besides any disrespectful actions from the crowd if you watched the matches you would have seen there have been fouls that have not been called for either teams because believe it or not refs are inconsistent. this with all matches . though i have to say the Egypt and Switzerland matches were quite well reffed. Still, lots of fouls against Argentina were also not given at all during this tournament.

About 2022 you straight up did not watch the Netherlands match if you're saying this. you can find shit about that hand online and paredes WAS given a yellow card for that like it it is there. even messi got a yellow at some point if I'm remembering right. ugly match all the way the netherlands did also not get some big fouls carded until the end of the match where they just straight up tried to fight the arg team. very violent and entertaining match overall. and good football. i reccommend watching it and knowing about the van gaal/tevez beef to get more context

with the Egyptian coach we don't know yet. literally his team stopped him from doing the gesture the moment he did it and has not mentioned since, which does not look good for him at all tbh. That match was won because Egypt had it in the bag, and then decided to not defend for whatever reason. you can have all the advantages you wish on the other team but there is no way to rig 3 goals in 15 minutes, they just fucked up there even if it's hard to admit. but yea there has not been anything else done about the gesture and i think considering the reaction of the egyptian bench to it, maybe will never be buuut that's yet to be seen, don't know how that is going to progress.

egypt and cape verde fans allegations are also to be taken into consideration but i do not think it was a general thing as we have seen lots of Egypt and cabo verde fans saying their experiences were positive. still, a shame that a lot of the allegations that come against us are probably true even eclipsing the good interactions with fans who are actually decent. weird how we are only focusing on that and playing dumb with other teams fans being openly racist too but i get we are talking about argentina now.

Again, I was being very snappy, but I mentioned the UN vote specifically because I've seen several people from all over the world (and not just the US and Europe) referring to that as one of the reasons why they don't want to cheer for Argentina in the cup, and why they might be wary of the nation. I don't hate Argentina because of any of those reasons, I hate Argentina because of the original Rebelde. You know what you did 😑 (I'm kidding, sorry) I was never talking about individual people or how these or the government represent how all the citizens think, the post was originally complaining about/judging latin americans who are choosing to cheer against Argentina in the world cup, and I was adding up to prev with reasons people have to not support Argentina. Using the UN vote is basically the same as me saying I don't support Japan in the cup because of what they did in Asian, or whatever country because of their laws against same sex marriage, it's not because I believe that there are no gays in korea or that they're all individually homophobic. And to be fair I might have misremembered the Paredes card from the 2022, if granted or not, but that should have been two back to back yellow cards, one for the foul and one for the kicking the ball in the bench and starting that mess of a riot. I did watch it, with mild attention, four years ago 💀 Messi did not get penalised in any way for that hand though, and if I'm not mistaken, the Netherlands was more carded than Argentina in that fight.

The problem with the racism accusations in the Egypt game is that the manager did it multiple times, and instead of following the protocol and pausing the game to analyse it, the ref carded the manager who was calling out the supposed racism. And yeah, obviously I know you can't rig goals, but I can hate them. You can, however, rig a ref's decisions that influence when a penalty kick is conceded, when a goal is disallowed, when a player is carded, etc...

as for the hand in the Netherlands, it was messi stopping the ball because the ref was about to blow the whistle for a failed advantage, as to do that asap so they could keep playing (again, that match was going on wheels). the debate comes because it was said that even if it was going to be stopped, should messi have like, done that before the whistle? idk it will still be debated as any other play on that whole match for any of the teams because again, it was a LOT, but also I understand people zeroing on Argentina's fouls as we have messi and he is the most famous player still
