maybe this is not my place to say because I am monolingual, and I'm sure it's part of a larger, more nuanced discussion about visibility and accessibility on the internet, but I think it'd be cool if people posted in their native languages more instead of in english. I see people do it way more on other platforms than on tumblr which is almost exclusively in english
if your without and you put nuts on it I don't make the rules snowflake
TRUCK

i get very #insufferable when I get comfortable with people
Saw someone on Instagram saying that if you're on T you should take men's multiviatims and if you're on E you should take women's multivitamins. And I can see how someone could come to that assumption, if you thought that vitiam intake needs were affected by hormone levels.
However that's not really the case, at least not when it comes to the sort of vitiams in a multiviatim.
The main difference is that "women's" multiviatims have iron in them to help make up for presumed monthly bloodloss. And "men's" multiviatims will sometimes have antioxidants that /could/ help with prostate health.
If you don't experience a menstrual cycle that features uterine shedding and consist monthly bleeding, then you shouldn't take multiviatims that are marketed as "women's", becouse if you use them longterm you'll end up suffering from secondary iron overload which can cause liver, heart, and pancreas damage.
To my knowledge, the antioxidants in "men's" multivaitims are not harmful to people who don't have a prostate. It's also might be good to remember that trans men on Testosterone for at least a year do develop prostate tissue (it's just not in the same spot). That being said, the antioxidants in men's vitiams aren't medically proven or assessed by the FDA as being beneficial to the prostate tissue - and what studies that do exist certainly don't include transmasculine people in testing, so really it's more 🤷 🤷 🤷
Anyway, basically:
If you're postmenopausal, if you're on T and it has stopped your menstrual cycle, or if you have a condition that makes it so you don't bleed every month, or if you're a trans woman or otherwise transfem then you probably don't want to be taking multiviatims that are marketed towards women, to avoid secondary iron overload.
And if you're on T but you still have a consistent menstrual cycle, you /might/ want to take multiviatims that are marketed towards women to make up for the iron loss during uterine shedding. Though this probably is only necessary if you are a heavy bleeder or someone who bleeds more days then the average.
Now - if you're transfem and having to take multivaitims marketed as "men's" makes you dysphoric, or if you're transmasc and having to take multiviatims marketed as "women's" makes you dyphoria, of it your transneutral and hate any gendered marketing in general. There is good news.
Adult multiviatims, which are marketed as just "for adults" provide a good baseline amount of vitiams that every person needs regardless of gender, with no iron and none of the antioxidants that are sometimes added to men's vitiams.
You can just take those, they're usually cheaper then the gendered ones. And if you think you need more iron, just buy a bottle of iron supplements (talk to yourd doctor or OB/GYN first) or eat more high iron veggies during your period. And if you're concerned about your prostate health then you should talk to a doctor instead of taking an antioxidant about it!

Hot take: there is no valid reason that official government ID should have either a sec or gender marker on it. First name, last name, dob + up to date image will suffice. Address, if relevant.
Y'all know it's crucial to paramedics, right?
Any of my followers who are paramedics/first responders/emergency room staff want to attest that no, it isn't.
What do you think happens in dire medical emergencies where an unconscious person presents and doesn't have ID on their person at the time?
I'm always confused by why people seem to think that there is some sort of Penis Emergency that will kill you if paramedics perform the Vagina Procedure on your fully clothed body.
Hospital spoilers btw: blood isn't sorted by sex, it's sorted by type. The sex of the blood donor doesn't factor in at all when receiving a transfusion, and you will not be harmed by receiving blood from a donor whose sex is different than yours. Saying this because it's another misconception that I've heard.
if you're unconscious at the hospital and they need to operate and insert a catheter in your urethra, don't worry! they'll figure out if you have a penis or a vagina without having to look at a laminated card in your wallet
And if you have ambiguous or surgically modified genitals, they'll find your urethra anyway!
I think this is one of those things where folks are so used to it that they just sort of assume there must be a good reason for it. But the only reason for your sex to be on your ID is if your legal rights differ based on your sex. Like, it would be important for your ID to say F or M if, for instance, one of those categories was allowed to open a bank account but the other one wasn't. But as far as I can tell, we have mostly decided that legal rights should pertain to everyone. Which means that sex documentation really is just a throwback to a time when women were not considered full legal persons and therefore their legal status had to be officially displayed on their ID in order to maintain that distinction.
Honestly, the only major thing I can think of that still strictly legally requires sex distinction is the military draft. Which, A) still doesn't require sex be recorded on your drivers license, B) could be made sex-neutral, or C) could be abolished instead.

Grace tries copying the tones using the keyboard.
Rocky hums. “Close. Skip first note.”
“Why? You always include that.”
“This means… of Rocky, possessive. Of the speaker.”
“My.”
“Correct. But only for names.”
“So you’re calling me…?”
Rocky repeats the word: “My Grace. Yes.”
they're always bringing experts or activists on the news to agitate about porn and there's a standard script for this that's like "I think sex education is important, I'm not anti-sex, but so much of this porn is violent and misogynistic if not outright illegal, and it's far too accessible to our children"
I want to see someone finally be brave enough to say that the government should just make its own porn for teenagers that accords with community values, so they don't have to go to these shady places to get it. I think the government porn would probably be pretty bad but I would be so eager to hear about the process of designing it. there would be so many stakeholders and consultations. in canada it would have to be bilingual
no-one would find it at all sexy at first but then in 20 years there'd be a thriving fetish scene where people develop elaborate codes and practices around culturally-embedded tropes from government porn
