"as i might miss him"

How do people who call themselves fans of Louis who find last night organic and natural explain why Louis would go on national TV in the U.S., where he’s currently living and supposedly working on some industry projects that would fit well with the concept and demo of America’s Got Talent, and then not mention them. 

Why would Louis go on a show with a platform to mention these things, especially if One Direction has broken up and he needs new projects to work on, and then fail to mention any of them?

Why would he allow the social media team of this program and the resulting press then to diminish him professionally to nothing but a “dad,” especially in the wake of a statement saying he wanted privacy for his son going forward?

In what world would this make sense other than one where he was obligated to be on the show at the whim of the creator/host who is also still, for all intents and purposes, his boss. 

The sad reality is that there was a promo game being played here, and it wasn’t on the show with Louis’ professional pursuits, as it should have been. The promo game is going played out in the syndicated press, about how ~DAD~ Louis is, which is incredibly odd since he just recently asked for privacy for his son, so why bring so much attention to the fact he has one? 

No one would do that if they were:

A real father with real concerns about his son’s privacy going forward
