Stuntdriver!

- driver being the clingiest mf when he gets comfortable with colt so he's constantly sitting on colt like a cat. Colt literally works out even more so he can carry driver everywhere for as long as he wants without tiring

- opposites: im a short driver truther im sorry. Not even that short, just like average, 5'7-5'10 range, it's just that colt is on the taller side like 6'+. Colt with MUSCLESSS and driver being fit ofc but much leaner because he doesn’t intentionally work out, it's all from his jobs. Driver with a teeny tiny waist and colt with a fat ass and pecs driver likes to stuff his face in LMFAO. Driver being pale af so colt always worries whether he's eating enough or eating right, mother-henning him. Driver being always kind of cold and colt is a furnace so driver's almost PURRING when he gets to snuggle into him—he's like those dogs that just wants to crawl inside their owners... also driver being a lot younger than colt lol, I HC driver being late-20s/early 30s and colt being late 30s.

- driver is colt's BABY. Colt loves taking care of driver, feeding him, cuddling him, carrying him everywhere, always praising him. And driver is equally obsessed with colt, getting jealous easily if anyone else has his attention. Doing acts of service and not telling colt but desperately wants the praise.

- colt loves introducing driver to "normal people" things: different foods he likes, hobbies, places, activities. He loves seeing driver just be a normal adult and not have to worry when the next shoe will drop

driver to me is the most touch starved guy in the world. he’s spent most of his life only being touched violently and even then it was rare, the occasional punch or brutal grab but mostly just Nothing. and because of that every touch feels like an explosion to him, makes his skin buzz. he’ll flinch away from most touches just because they feel so overwhelming — and then regret it because he wants more now that the shock has worn off — but with colt he knows he’s safe to flinch away and then try again. he can take colt’s hand in his and play with his fingers, clamber into his lap and pull colt’s big arms around him in a silent request to be squeezed, and if it gets too much he can pull away and colt will let him. he spends so much time exploring that unfamiliar safety, testing it like a child pressing on a bruise. colt is incredibly endeared by it.

i am a HUGE lover of stuntdriver size difference. and a solid believer that colt is Huge. he’s broad and tall, all muscle that’s form And function, over six feet tall and broad-shouldered, arms the size of driver’s thighs almost the size of driver’s waist. he’s healthy and looks after himself, eats right and eats a Lot, works out on a strict schedule and exercises even when he’s not exactly working out — often by picking driver up 🙂‍↕️

driver, meanwhile, grew up malnourished and neglected. he’s not tiny, still quite tall, his shoulders are broad (cough which makes his waist look even tinier), but he’s bony in a way that never quite goes away, all hard angles. his ribs and collarbones are prominent, you can see the full line of his spine down his back like a scorpion’s tail, hunched from years of being homeless in his car. colt is constantly concerned about him. making sure he eats, making sure he eats properly, and still feeling a curl of something sick in his gut when he holds driver close and feels his bones, feels scars and healed breaks, an age-old hurt that colt can’t fix no matter how hard he tries. but he keeps trying.

driver is terrible at taking care of himself, somewhat sickly from a mixture of self-neglect and his childhood which of course only feeds into the self-neglect (cough i have been playing around with the idea of chronically ill driver) — driver has had his needs not met for so long that he often fails to recognise that he has them. so colt takes that on as his own job. if they’re not together he’ll text driver photos of what he’s eating for each meal to give driver a reminder to eat and a baseline for what a normal meal looks like. a little while later, he’ll receive back a photo of some takeout or a diner plate of driver’s meal.

also MAN. age difference beloved. i see driver as mid-late twenties, around 26, and colt (and grace) as around 37. colt feels remarkably protective of driver, doesn’t understand how so many people could’ve hurt this kid and not cared about him, and he does his best to pour it into being productive because if he thinks about it for too long he’ll want to punch a wall. it’s definitely happened several times that driver has, quite emotionlessly, told a story about his past, and colt has ended up being the one crying, clinging hard to driver and burying his face against his neck because he doesn’t know what else to do. he wants to fix it and he can’t. driver tells him it’s fine, a little bemused, but it’s not, how could it ever be fine when driver wakes up breathless from nightmares he can’t describe and sometimes goes empty-eyed for hours and flinches when colt moves too fast.

anyway, driver is definitely obsessive. colt is his first taste of something solid and kind — irene was precious, driver still feels what he ruined with her like a wound, but she needed protecting and now driver is the one being protected — and driver doesn’t know how to…deal with it. how to have it. he’s terrified of losing it. he’s anxious when colt is away, jealous and sharp when he’s looking at anyone else, at his side whenever he can be. he doesn’t know how to express his devotion verbally, not like colt does — praise and reassurance and love — on top of all the looking after he does, so driver clings to him and drives them to beautiful places and cleans and comes running when colt calls. people make jokes about colt having a chauffeur because driver always appears immediately to pick him up from set when colt’s done for the day, and colt grins.

driver drives (hehe) colt wherever he wants to go, so colt absolutely directs them to all sorts of restaurants and classic dates, trying food driver’s never had, going bowling and roller skating. colt teaches driver how to swim. they go to jazz bars and concerts and open mics. colt keeps careful note of how driver’s doing and immediately takes him gently by the waist to leave if it’s getting too much, shushing driver’s tight-voiced apologies for ruining another date.

colt comes to know all of driver’s tells. what’s his normal quiet and what means something is wrong. he learns to identify driver’s triggers, when to pull him close and when to not touch him, when to hold driver still for his own safety when he’s hurting himself. and driver, in turn, knows all of colt’s tells. he usually doesn’t know what words to say or how to say them, but he offers silent solid support, sits with colt even when colt doesn’t have it in him to be the usual entertainer, and colt is so grateful. he knows he can fully be himself around driver, even at his worst, doesn’t have to grin and joke about it and do the usual stunt guy bullshit, as jody puts it.
