We need more than just a levelling-up rebrand.

We cannot lose such an important part of the cultural history of the region. Glass-making in Sunderland dates back to the 7th century. This is worth more to the people of the North than it is to developers. Save the National Glass Centre. 

None of this is natural. We believe in a green North and in localism, in community, and in legislation to protect our green spaces & waterways.

Instead, the bubble is insistent on yet more managed decline, which is all we've had since the 80s. This has to change.

What should have been a wake up call was sadly ignored, with the major parties now echoing anti-migrant sentiments.

All to appease a vocal minority of weirdos who are obsessed with public toilets.

This Pride Month and every other month of the year, we will keep fighting for a North where everyone is truly free to be themselves.

That's why we need to replace First-Past-the-Post with a proportional system.

The right to participate in elections was hard-won and local councils play a big part in our lives.

So, as a reward for voting for their concentration camps, their supporters won't have to look at them.

We need proper funding for higher education and research, and an end to the hostile environment.
