It was so nice and strange. I saw a woman generally give me a look that was more than a passing glance the other day. It’s been a very very long time since that has happened. I know she will never see this, but thanks you made my week.

I’m a different person that I was 5 years ago. Still salty. But I’ve grown.

It surprises me to this day 5 years later how the end still cuts me so deep. I dreamed about her last night. So visceral that I really can’t stop thinking about it today. I go back and forth between wishing I never met her to being glad I did. Most days I just wish I could white wash it all from my memory. I do know this: I can’t trust a woman the way I used to. Everyone leaves in the end so protect your peace and sanity. In this life the only person you can truly count on is yourself.
