These are the surviving letters from my great uncle, Fred Sims Stewart (Uncle Bubba). He was a working actor in New York City from 1930 until his death in 1970. The majority of the letters cover his correspondence with his mother, Sarah Duggar Stewart in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was his confidant and personal archivist. The letters date between 1925 - 1961.

Written to his oldest sister, Alice Stewart, during his summer semester at Columbia University. This would have been six months after his father, Fred Stewart Sr., was murdered in Atlanta, Georgia.
