Kazuichi Souda was excited when he was told to host the Halloween party this year. Everyone was supposed to attend, and he was greeting them all, currently dressed as a vampire. He raised a brow at Mukuro when she entered “Hey, uh, wheres yer costume?”

Mukuro kept walking through the door, assuming she was the first to arrive at the shindig overall. She took off her shoes, taking a polite seat at one of the set up chairs. “I don’t have one, nor did I intend to wear one,” Mukuro said. “Dressing up in a silly costume is something only a child would bother doing.”

He crossed his arms as she entered. Sure it was nice she shows up but she also shit all over the Halloween spirit. “Ok well, its nice you could show up but dressing up is a part a the experience y’know? It’s fun to go out dressed up and get candy. You could have at least tried” he shrugged

“Trust me, I’m scary enough on my own,” Mukuro insisted, crossing one leg over the other. “I don’t need a childish costume to help me with that.”Halloween parties I can deal with, but I’m far too old to be trick-or-treating. Not that I’ve done it often, but I can’t even I say I understand the whole point of dressing up and looking ridiculous.”

“I mean I won’t argue with you there” he scratched the back of his neck “And I also can’t make ya wear a costume its your own choice. I dunno I guess its jus a chance to be someone else ya know? Go around and have fun. Sure its childish and a little stupid but it is definitely a good time.” he sipped his soda “I mean hey at least you showed up for the party” he smiled

“Good. To argue would be lying to yourself,” Mukuro agreed coldly. “And no, to be someone else is just another means of escaping who or what you really are. And really, it’s pointless and stupid in itself to try and pretend to be something you aren’t. There isn’t any way of describing it as a ‘good time’.” Mukuro poured herself a bit of punch into a plastic cup, taking a sip from it before setting it down gently and taking her seat again, saying nothing after her little statement.

He frowned a bit at her negativity. Wow she is gonna be fun at this party. He shrugged “Well ok, jus maybe try not to lecture everyone tonight about it. I’d hate for everyone to leave early” he didn’t care if he sounded rude, he worked hard for this party. “So…how have ya been?” he finished his soda, pouring himself another one.

“It’s none of my concern whether anybody wears a costume. It’s their choice, but it’s only a personal opinion of mine that they’re wasting their time.” Mukuro finished off her punch, turning to Souda without much of an expression. “I cannot complain. How have you been as of late besides the Halloween plans?”

How can you be certain this will work anyways?” Mukuro questioned, skeptical and internally shocked that he was still determined to bring the potential abomination to life. It was hidden under the sheet, so she thankfully couldn’t distinguish what it looked like just yet. Even so, Mukuro didn’t doubt that this idea was doomed to go horribly wrong like all the common stories it served as a trope for. “If and when this backfires on you, don’t say I didn’t warn you,” she told him, not leaving the room but hiding in a safe spot to keep from getting shocked and located by him.
