LOST STAR
i want to bury myself in the snow and face the universe as it goes day to night, day to night, day to night. you tell me i’m crazy. i’ll freeze to death, you say, you say this in a tone that lacks concern. i tell you i’ve always wanted to be a star in your constellation but you’re too busy focused on other boys and girls, fixating your views elsewhere. i know you’ll notice me one day. i’ll be the brightest star in the whole damn galaxy, and nasa will be rubbing their heads, trying to figure out why they hadn’t found me sooner.
