From afar

The light reflects off the sea like an infinate mirror

The shades of cerulean go on forever

Glistening white foam smashes the rocks like it has a vendetta against the earth

Brownish sand awaits my cold feet, begging to engulf my ankles and giving me permission to step in them

I experience something different though

As I get closer, I see what beauty really is..

The sun burns my skin as it wants to fight the endodermis and singe my leg hair

The rocks are slimy, slippery and jagged you’d think they’re making bets on how many children they can force into the water

The water is frigid and contains the garbage that man deemed not worthy of land

Honestly that same water is a nice shade of light green up close, so green that I can see the tadpoles cringe and shudder

Mosquitos bite and the sand contains these medium sized alabaster stones

These qualities are the negatives of beauty.

They allow beauty to thrive and live

It’s up to the observer to explore beauty and find out more about the inner spirit of the beautiful
