Is there anyone you're jealous of?
freddie mercury's talent, then again i've sang for queen too so.
Once she'd sat down, Lola was too busy scheduling her latest posts for IG to notice the sound of a phone skidding by her feet. This wasn't her usual hangout (honestly, Gossip Girl forbid that anyone catch her dead in here!) but she needed a quick escape. She was trying to take stock of her rapidly draining funds, her options. The work she still had lined up.
How long she could delude herself into believing her parents were going to text 'psych!' any minute now.
When he spoke, she finally looked up from her phone. Her eyes lingered a moment as he bit his lip before she obliged, moving over so he could get his phone. Distraction. Lola's demeanor changed then, pushing her hair back and canting her head before flashing a dazzling smile. "Everything still in one piece? I know I'd just die without my cell sometimes-," she joked (well) before gesturing across her table- "Were you drinking alone or...?"
Francis flashed a charming smile at the person standing across from him, his eyes twinkled with a mix of mischief and warmth. "I was drinking alone," He began, his tone light and inviting, "But I guess I wouldn't mind some company." His voice carried a subtle hint of flirtation, making it clear that the offer was more than a casual invitation.
he took a moment to shake his head as if dismissing the minor inconvenience that had just occurred. "Fortunately, the phone's still fine," he said with a chuckle, tapping the device in his hand for emphasis. the light smirk that curled at the corners of his lips hinted at something playful brewing in his mind.
after a brief pause, he let his gaze lock onto theirs, the smirk deepening into a full, confident grin. "Though," he added, his voice lowering just a friction, 'I wouldn't mind it holding your number." The words hung in the air between them, filled with a blend of humor and genuine interest, as Francis let the moment stretch, waiting to see how they would respond to his bold but good-natured advance.
Spencer had been dodging his PT's calls, instead opting to extend his run. Bad idea, right? He started to figure that when he was doubled over, wondering if his lungs would ever get to taste sweet air again. This was so damn frustrating. He took another breath, reminding himself to keep it together. Trying to think of what wonderful, slightly obnoxious, advice Kamal Singh would give him right about now...
In any case, Spencer had decided to stop. That's why he'd ducked into the coffee shop, grateful no one was there to recognise him. The longer he stayed off the field, the more he'd have to get used to that. Being a footnote, a 'oh yeah, I remember him'.
He had to get outta his own head. After ordering, he slid into a booth and tried to relax. That's when he heard him-- "Your what?" Phone. Spencer unfurled his brow long enough to duck under the table, picking the phone back up. He eyed it for a second before handing it over.
"I appreciate I sound like my granddad when I say this but don't you think life would be much simpler without these things?"
Francis stared at the other person as if they'd just grown a third head, his expression caught somewhere between disbelief and mild amusement. "If your grandfather was born before 1847, then yeah, he wouldnât have known what a phone was," he said, raising an eyebrow. "But Iâm pretty sure your grandfather isnât that old." He couldnât wrap his mind around how someone so young could be so opposed to modern technology. For Francis, life without his phone seemed almost impossible. It was his lifelineâhow else would he read his favorite fanfiction about kinky vampires?
He shook his head, still trying to process the idea. "Iâm sorry, Iâm just⌠surprised. Truly." His tone softened slightly, but the astonishment remained. It was hard to picture how anyone in todayâs world could willingly distance themselves from something as essential as a smartphone.
A fine man probably hated to see her coming but very little scared her off. It was probably why her brothers continued to worry every time she was out of their sight. Whether it was because they were worried about her or worried about the other trouble she would cause. Though if you were to ask Michelle, she was an innocent woman having fun.
Michelle had intended to begin sketching on some projects. She had a lot of ideas but every time she intended to work on them, she'd get distracted. It seemed today would be no different. An attractive man sitting alone? Before she could even question whether he was actually waiting for someone, she had taken the seat across from him. A grin crossed her face until the chaos ensued. Doing her best not to burst out laughing. Clearly she should have made her presence known.
"So, so sorry, I'm â" Making sure her own devices didn't fall, she careful lifted the feet of her chair, grabbing the phone so she could inspect for any damages she might've caused. Well it was hard to say she would be fully to blame but she was at least partially responsible. "Hmm, you must be a spy. I don't think I've met someone so attached to their phone." She teased. After her inspection, she slid the man his phone. "I'm so sorry, I never imagined you would be so jumpy." Then again, Michelle didn't actually know this man.
Francis glanced at her, tilting his head slightly, a hint of amusement flickering across his face as she jokingly suggested he could be a spy. With a raised eyebrow, he responded dryly, "Not really, no. I'm just a teacher." His tone was matter-of-fact, but there was a subtle gleam in his eye, as if he found the idea of being a spy more amusing than he cared to admit. After all, the profession of espionage certainly sounded a lot more thrilling than being a former band member and a humble music teacher. Then again, his old fansâgroupies, reallyâwould probably have disagreed, seeing a lot more excitement in his past than he was willing to admit.
He paused for a moment, leaning back slightly, a playful smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "Iâm usually not this jumpy," he continued, the lightness in his voice belying the way his gaze momentarily shifted to the side as if scanning the room. "But you never know when Gossip Girl will strike again." There was a glimmer of something behind that charming smile of his, a suggestion that maybe he had secrets worth protecting, even if he downplayed them. "And I keep my secrets⌠well, rather a secret," he added with a grin, flashing the same easy charm that seemed to follow him everywhere.
It was hard to tell if he was serious or not. Francis had this way of making everything sound like a casual joke, even when there might be something deeper beneath the surface. He was always so effortlessly charismatic, and even in moments like this, it was impossible to know how much he was hiding behind that smile.
Francis Coates sat in the dimly lit corner of a secluded coffee shop, nursing a cup of cold tea. His fingers trembled slightly as he scrolled through the news on his phone, each headline a reminder of the precarious position he was in. It had been an accident, a night that spiralled out of control, blurring lines he had sworn to never cross. His mind replayed the events over-and over- his studentâs laughter, the innocent conversation that had let to drinks - yet back then he hadnât known they were his student, as they hadnât come to his class till after summer break. Yet the glowing warmth between them should have been a warning. He had let his guard down, and now he was trapped in a nightmare of his own making.
No one knew. The scandal hadnât broken. Yet. But the fear gnawed at him daily; one slip, one careless word, would unravel EVERYTHING! He had worked too hard to build his reputation. To be respected in his field, to throw it all away by one reckless mistake.Â
As the sun set outside, casting long shadows on the walls, Francis knew he couldnât hide forever. The truth had a way of surfacing, and when it did, he would have to face the consequences. But for now, he could only sit in the dark, alone with his guilt and the weight of a secret that threatened to destroy him.
He jolted upright as a figure suddenly appeared at his side, sliding into the booth next to him. The unexpected presence shattered his focus, and his phone slipped from his fingers, clattering onto the floor.Â
He scrambled to pick it up, heart pounding, his mind racing with a surge of panic. Had someone recognized him? Had the secret he so desperately guarded been discovered? He glanced up nervously, his eyes locking into the stranger. âHey sorry can you move a bit - my phoneâŚitâs right under-â He bit his lip. âYour chair.â
He had spent weeks trying to stay invisible, blend into the background. But now someone had sought him out. He couldnât help but feel the stranger looked like it was at ease.Â

"Ugh, so disappointing! You'd think these kids would give us some drama considering we're at drama school. I mean, c'mon. Am I being too harsh? Let's see how they do post-summer. There's always drama once the summer buzz truly wears off-," Andie added (wise as ever).
She let out a laugh at Francis' suggestion.
"Oh sure, I'll ask for his number. And then we go on a date, we have a few laughs. He meets my friends, he makes them laugh and he's fine, sure. And then before you know it, I'm Mrs 'Tap Guy' and I'm driven to the brink. I throw all his tap shoes onto the fire and laugh as they burn!" She finished her schpeel with a dramatic wave of her arms before pausing-- "I mean, he is kinda cute, right?"
"Oh you want drama, their exam is going to be to write a song like Bieber would write for the girls, and the guys will have to write the next Taylor Swift song." He grinned, an evil smirk on his lips. That's what they get for lazing around in his class.
He looked at the waiter once more. "I guess in a glass half empty, glass half full kinda way." He tilted his head. "He seems a bit young, though -..." He accidentally had slept with one of his students, he wouldn't dare to make that same mistake another time (then again they didn't really leave his mind either.)
"Knock knock, hot shot-," Andie grinned as she waltzed into Francis' office. They were just about finished up for the day (thank gawd!) and she was just dying to grab an after-work drink. Or in-work drink, whatever happened. "Is it just me or is the Tap Guy totally into me? He just offered to give me five free lessons and then did a little jig to back it up. Anyway, how's your day going?"
@franciscoates
"Uneventful like always, even the usual troublemakers were quiet today." Which was strange in itself, but hey, he wasn't going to complain. "Oh, I'm sure he's into you, why not ask his number?" Francis slowly said as to push her into her new romance, he was a sucker for it and he loved love.

How would you rank your siblings from fave to least fave?
Well of course I'm number one sibling and the rest hmm - I rather have them fight over who would be number two then to share the actual list ;)
