Because this was a game designed to blow the dust of a bunch of WFB8 armies that were gathering dust and show off how different the AoS game is we decided to go all in on the batshit-mental nature of the AoS background and so set the entire game in space using a couple of X-Wing/Armada mats with surreal terrain. No point replicating WFB with rolling green fields and twee cottages that look like the battle is being fought in Evesham.

This layout was the answer to the question that nobody was asking which was “What Would Jack Kirby do?”

Eight armies, each 1000 points from the new-ish General’s Handbook. 2 Ogre Kingdoms, Khorne Daemons, Khorne Warriors of Chaos, Skaven, Lizardmen, Goblin Wolf Riders, and Nighthaunt.
