Late night walks

A friend sent the info of the event a couple hours before and told me it was a big opportunity to network. I did as much research on this guy that I could on the 40 minute ride there and prepared some questions.

Welllll.....turns out the event was not as advertised 😅

Definitely more of a fan event/listening session than an actual music production class, and it was entirely in Korean.

My Korean isn’t great, but I understood more than I expected for most of it. By the last 30 minutes though, my brain said “translation off” and was done lol so I missed a bit there. At one point he even asked me and my friend about his shirt and I completely panicked being put on the spot 😭

Safe to say I need to start studying Korean again📖📝

Also, my "thoughtful" message was just too much for the moment. I def overthought this. Everyone else was asking fashion and favorite food and I'm asking about arrangements and melodies🤦🏾‍♀️

Anyway, now I'm just embarrassed lol lesson learned though. Keep it simple.

Learning how to network as someone shy/ awkward is so hard. I try to prepare everything beforehand and then when it doesn't go as planned idk what to do.
