The look of shock on Steven’s face was genuine. He wasn’t sure where this gem had come from, or what he intentions were – but he was pretty sure as to the type of gem she was. He watches as she bows to him, looking confused at the gesture. His features then softened when she asked if he was going to hurt her.

He says, holding out his hand to the gem slowly for her to take. He sometimes forgets that gems may not understand human gestures, but he is only trying to show her he has no intentions on hurting her.

How did this human know she was from Homeworld ?? Of course it
was obvious she wasn’t from here, but how did this human child know
of Homeworld ?? Unless...
She assumed ‘Steven’ wanted to shake hands. So, she took her delicate
hands and took them into the other’s, and lightly shook hands. and then
she spoke barely louder than a whisper, ❛ I’m just a blue pearl...You are
correct. I come from Homeworld. How.... how did you know...?? ❜ She
asked, curious to know how much Steven knows.
