You ready to cry? Too fucking bad if you’re not, cuz it’s gonna happen.

“This video is in memory of a beloved pet fox named Vader. 

PLEASE sign this petition - Justice for Vader and his family:  https://www.change.org/en-AU/petition… On February 19th, 2014, Vader’s parents (Tara and Eric) were notified that somebody had called their county police with a claim of being bitten on city limits by Vader. Despite explaining that they had not taken Vader off of their property since he was 4 months old, Vader was taken by an officer and stayed at a shelter/pound overnight. The next day a cop delivered Vader’s collar to Tara and Eric to inform them that he had been euthanized. In less than 24 hours..their baby was taken, put in a pound, and killed on the grounds of an accusation that was never investigated. The officer who entered the house to take Vader grabbed at his neck/collar despite being warned multiple times by his guardians to not do it. As a result, the officer was bitten. They are claiming that he potentially had rabies and that was why he needed to be put down immediately. I, among thousands of others, are wondering why..if an officer was aware that he was called onto a case where the pet might be aggressive and bit someone and there was a rabies threat, would he take so little cautionary steps in handling the animal? Why was there no investigation? Why do the police have so little information on the person who called in and accused Vader of this, in which they acted merely on a picture that was sent. Foxes are not aggressive creatures. Foxes will seek flight over fight at any given opportunity. Vader was not a vicious, wild animal. Vader was a family member, a loved one. I cannot begin to understand how this all happened and how so many people allowed it to. How one phone call and sent picture could lead to the untimely demise of someone’s beating heart in a less than 24 hour period. No investigation, no answers. I made this video in an effort to show you what Vader truly was. An amazing creature who had an absolutely loving/nurturing home and who could make you smile at the drop of a hat. The fox with the most personality and one of my favorite beings to ever exist. 

To Tara and Eric: I am so sorry that this happened to you and your baby. We all know what he really was. It’s important to really understand everything. I even called the Animal Control Officer myself to ask him about protocol and everything. He couldn’t keep his story straight and neither could the health department people I spoke to about laws and procedure. 

No one is mentioning Officer Clouse—why? Because if anyone admits that he messed up big time, it makes it easier for a lawsuit to happen.
