      He can’t fix this. He can’t fix it. He can’t fix Leah. He can’t fix them. Dimitri can’t filter enough oxygen into his lungs and he struggles, standing there as she holds the mail in her hand. Fluttering eyes land everywhere on her body, taking mental notes on what he could could to make her giggle, sigh, or feel loved. Finger ache with the need to pull her body close to his, to breathe in the warm smell of her shampoo. He aches for this girl. But her words drive ice through his heart. Wheezing as the wing picks up, he clutches his chest. Never would he ever raise a hand to a girl. His father had taught him better than that. “N-no, I promise I w-would never…” The cracks and the breaks in his tone are desperate. She has to believe him. He loved this girl more than anything.

              The wind around them is causing Leah to be slightly more scared because with winds comes a big storm; maybe it was just the outside trying to match her insides. Deep down the love that she has for Dimitri is overwhelming, it swallows her whole most nights, only letting her return so that she can wake. There's so much control that her petite frame betrays her and takes a step forward -- fingers almost touching as the wind takes away her arm. "I want to believe you. I do but I'm scared. I tried talking to you and you weren't even there. You just went off." Tell her that you love her; tell her that you'll try harder and never let her go.

      Spots blur in front of the boy’s eyes, reminding him again, in the dead of night, that he’s without sleep for the second day in a row. Twitching fingers rub the skin over searing optics, water gathering in the depths. Transient breaths are taken in, bare feet trying to carry him closer to her as he watches when she sways. “I-I know, I know. I’m fucking horrible, Leah… I’m sorry, I’m so sorry… I didn’t m-mean to…”

            He's not in his right mind. Leah can immediately sense that. She ought to be able to since she's known him all of her life but in this moment it feels like she's looking at a stranger. He's never talked to her like that before. The hood on her jacket is pulled over her swaying brunette locks trying to shield herself in some way of showing how emotional she was. "Did you think about hitting me? I want to know." It's an awful thing to ask but she has to know the truth. "I love you more than anything but you don't love me. If you loved me you wouldn't of said what you said."

      A deafening crack is heard as Lauren lands on her wrist, snapping the bone deftly. Bubbling hysterics rise themselves to the surface, eyes watering quickly. She’s almost sure she can’t breathe now thanks to the shooting pain up her arm.

      She didn't mean to do this! It's the evil people that messed with her mind who did this. They're going to pay for doing this to the girl she cared about. "Shit..---fuck..--Lauren I didn't mean to. I'm not safe. You have to go; go to the hospital."

      Silence. Clear as the moon overhead, he can see how thin her legs have gotten, how lithe her fingers fly and tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. A physical ache in his stomach manifests, twists his insides and causes a soft exhalation. It’s pained, his expression, as he stays away from her, wishing to close the distance. “W-… What can I do…? How can I-I fix… this…? Leah, please…”

             Its true; Leah is almost a shadow of the girl she once was. The weight that she had gained in the past few months has melted off her skin. A visible gap in-between the teenagers legs allows an almost wisp of wind to send her down to the ground but she's able to fight against gravity. "I trusted you," she started, eyes not able to glance up at him just yet, she's been staring at her feet for weeks. You can hear the shake in her voice as she continues on, "You said -- really nasty things."

      ”I-I’m not trying to take you anywhere…! Your phone… It dropped out of your pocket…” With nerves fraying at the edges, Lauren steels herself against the crazed woman. “I’m not taking you anywhere… I just didn’t want you to lose this… Please, Tesla.. I’m not trying to hurt you.”

                "I don't have a phone. You're a liar!" Why is this happening to her? She can't fall asleep; that's not an option. The nightmares come to her when she's fast asleep. You can't see how warped Tesla's mind is but not even colors are making sense. Who is this girl? Who is she!??! "YOU DON'T KNOW ME!!!" The blonde girls screams echo off the walls as her hands connect with the girls shoulders sending her down to the ground.
